I got the Pre-order bonus disc in the mail today. I had to go to work right after it came in... but I did get it.
This bodes well, since the disc was supposed to be available in stores later this week... will I actually get a pre-order EARLY for once?
Nah...
Your analogy is similar to:
"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?" "I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?" "They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"
"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?" "I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?" "They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"
I got mine from Electronics Boutiqe, too. Didn't know they were shipping out the bonus disc ahead of time! When's the game supposed to be released, again?
"My brother saw the Undertaker walking through an airport." - Rex "Was he no-selling?" - Me
"...release the dogs, or the bees, or the dogs with bees in their mouths, and when they bark, they shoot bees at you?" -- Homer Simpson
The game's being released on 3/24, but EBGames preorders were guaranteed delivery of the bonus disc by 2/12, and stores will be giving out the bonus disc starting 2/16, and this is a really horrid run-on sentence.
My EB is already giving out the Bonus disk. I just reserved mine today, and their next shipment in is tomorrow.

Year after year, the United States has gone to elaborate lengths, spent enormous sums, taken great risks to build and keep weapons of mass destruction. But why? The only possible explanation, the only possible use they could have for those weapons, is to dominate, intimidate, or attack.
Well, All I have to say is that I guess I finally found something to do with that Animal Crossing that has been gathering dust these past few months.... Finally, the reason I bought a damned Gamecube in the first place...
Quick question; is it still possible to receive the Bonus Disc after the game is released?
(Wonders how easy it would be to just pre-order and then cancel the next day after getting the Bonus Disc).
"Maybe one day Vorrik, but not today. You really should have thought twice about this gambit of yours--especially if you didn't have the resources to pull it off in the first place. "We have no intentions of surrendering--not now, not ever. You may win the occasional battle against us, Vorrik, but the Empire always will strike back. That I promise you".

The pre-order is disc is labelled "Not for Resale." I think it is a limited release thing, so if you want it, you should probably pick it up soon... I don't know about cancelling your order, though...
But why would you want to? This is Zelda we're talking about. Don't you want Wind Waker, too?
I'm actually having a lot of fun playing through OoT right now. I never had an N64 so this is cool - it's one of the few Zelda games that I haven't played all of the way through (Marjora's Mask being the other - although I am seriously lagging on the Gameboy versions I guess - I don't really count those)
The game looks pretty good. I'm wondering if they wrote an N64 emulator for Gamecube, because if they can port all of the old N64 titles to GC I would be pretty stoked. I would definitely pre-order more games if I could get a classic N64 title (Mario64, MarioKart, etc) along with it.

Yeah, but does Nintendo have all the rights to port all those games that Rare made? Cause those were some of the best.

BTW, going to start on the Master Quest this afternoon.

There technically was another costume pack released. MK3 versions of Cyber and non-cyber Sub-Zero but it was released in the 1.04 patch of the game that now requires dl'ing all the compatibly packs.
