Can you not search for YouTube videos by upload time anymore?

http://www.youtube.com/results#!search_type=videos&search_query=youtube

EDIT: Well, you technically CAN still search by date, you just need to have the URL still in your browser cache :|

It still works for me the same as always. Are you seeing a different dialogue?

No, instead of "Search Options", there's a new link (for me anyway) labelled "Refine", with options like "By Category", "By Video Property", "By Community", and "By Username" ... It's not very helpful (and actually makes the whole search function look rather ugly).

EDIT: On a lark, I tried logging out and doing another search (to see if I had somehow been designated a "beta tester" for YouTube's new design or whatnot) ... Nope, still the same (ugly) results.

Sorry, here's a screengrab:

EDIT: Yet another weird thing ... I went to use YouTube on my home computer last night (logged in with the same account and everything) and it's still the old search as well!

It seems my work computer is the only place in the world that features this new search function! I'm so lucky (?) ...

Not that anyone cares, but I finally just decided to clear my YouTube cookies and now it's back to the normal non-hashtag search setup.

My work computer was still the only place that this happened, so I'm not sure exactly what I did to earn this "honor" ... I did notice that with the searchbar at the top of the YouTube page, the cursor appeared smaller than regular (now that I've cleared my cookies, the cursor once again fills up the entire search bar).

Again, I don't know what the hell was up with this, but (if YouTube was trying some weird type of beta-testing with me as the guinea pig), let me just take the opportunity to say that I definitely hope that they do NOT adapt this setup in the future.

Didn't think of it, but it probably was something they put in your cookies to pick your computer (and maybe a tiny percentage of others.) Being keyed to the computer means there's a set screen dimension, browser, etc. combination they can be sure it's set up for.

They really should've given you an easy escape back to the normal setup. But at least you're back.

They're at it again!

It's definitely an improvement over their previous attempt, I'll give them that ... and (as can be seen in the right-hand corner) they have retained the option of searching by date uploaded, ranking, etc., so SOMEONE at Google heard my ranting and raving ;)

The funny thing is, whereas I had to actually delete my cookies in order to change back to the "classic" search style the other time, this new look happened exactly once this morning and now I can no longer replicate it ... weird, just weird.
