Top reason why the Tourney can't start quick enough: Once the games begin, maybe then Digger will stop bitching about a team that lost to Rutgers not getting in the Tourney. If Holy Cross beats ND in the first round of the NIT, does that mean Digger takes a very long nap? Somehow, I don't like any of the 1 seeds getting to the Final Four, and only 1 getting to the Elite Eight. In Roy We Don't Trust is usually a good motto. Gratuitous Cheap Shot from someone whose team couldn't make the NIT with a returning 1st team All-American: Grimis, how is the NIT tourney pool going?
I'm in (Go 16 Seeds). I wouldn't say that no #1 seeds are going to make it to the Final Four. Although I did nearly forget Roy Williams is over at UNC now.
Whew, Florida finally avoided another 5 seed, only to be in like the toughest bracket EVER! We'll probably have to beat five consecutive ranked teams after the first game.
Good to see the Orange win the Big East, but seem somewhat slighted getting the #4 seed, when UCONN gets a 2...
Bummed out that Buffalo didn't make it too. Really thought the MAC would get 2 teams. Certainly since the Missouri Valley got three.... I certainly think they lost out because Utah St and New Mexico won their conference tourneys....
I think this tourney is really wide open. Usually I can see some obvious 1st round upsets, but this year I don't think anything is that obvious. There are, however, lots that could happen. None of the 3-4-5 seeds are really invincible... Then again, none of the 10-14 seeds seem like locks to pull an upset either...
I think the 2 seeds are stronger than in the past. I see more of them getting to the Final Four than 1 seeds...

Hmmm...I may have to examine this.
2 solid rules to live by:
1) A #12 always beats a #5. I'm thinking UW-Milwaukee over "Roll Over Tide" Alabama. (EDIT: Told ya so!)
2) Never pick more than 2 #1 seeds to make the Final Four.
And in the women's tourney...all your base are belong to the UWGB Lady Phoenix, baby!

Strangely enough, I've followed both your rules. Two #1 seeds in the Final Four, and one #12 over a #5 upset. And no, I don't think it's gonna be Alabama.

Count me in too...if nothing else, I'll take the spot at the bottom of the ranks...so no one else gets it.
I'm usually terrible at these things, but I do have fun. I don't think 'Bama is going to be the 5-12 upset either...but I hope I'm wrong. It'd be nice to see the Wisconsin teams make it further into the tournament.

Kennedy Winston (Bama's all-SEC forward) might miss the opener with an ankle injury suffered in practice so don't be so sure yet...I picked Bama and I'm kind of worried.

Bama always seems to lose when I pick them, but I had difficulty picking against them, especially since I think they're a Sweet 16 team with their draw.
Who is the bastard that put UNC, Kansas and UCONN in the same bracket? My guess is a card carrying member of Gamblers Anonymous. Or some kind of sick Wake Forest Alumni. And how the hell is Packer going to howl about Gonzaga and Cinderella when they are a 3 seed? But thanks Drew...now where are my tapes :-)?

I think it was the guy who has the ticket scalping concession at the Carrier Dome who made the East Bracket so top heavy.
