I'm already looking at buying some Christmas presents and doing research early, so I thought I'd pick the W Gamers expertise. My stepson has a 360 with the standard memory, and we'd like to get him more. What would you recommend? 32/64 gb? I found this and thought it was a good deal, but is it really, quality-wise?
I've only ever bought official Microsoft hard drives when upgrading my Xbox 360.
GOOD - Warranty - They sometimes come with a packed-in game
BAD - They're stupid expensive for what they are
There are also older Xbox 360s and newer, thinner Xbox 360s. You'd need to make sure you were buying the right hard drive for the 360 you have.
You will likely need to buy a transfer kit separately - check to see if one comes with the hard drive you buy (it likely won't).
If you have any games installed on the existing hard drive (i.e., copied from discs, NOT downloads), they won't move over and you'll need to copy them to the HD again. Time consuming, but not that big a deal.

Last I'd heard (and can find via Google), they're keeping X Play, so I don't know if they're really fired. However, they're moving everything to LA, so that's close enough to fired, I guess. EDIT: Just checked on Leo Laporte's blog...
