alcoholism isn't dumb as much as it is something you can't control without help - a lot of it. Until you realize it has control of you instead of the other way around, you can't stop. Dude needs to make a decision and get a buddy who is willing to life the sober life with him.
One dui - well - it happens - this is Jimmy's 2nd dui and he has had another drunken thing with a cop - likely he's one of Bill's friends. I hope he can get to step 1 soon
