I am most affected by Dolph's departure. He could go. He could work with anyone. And he was around so long, I think he did. I am, I guess, surprised that they felt he couldn't be of any more use, whether as talent enhancement or a gatekeeper or something of a midcard legend. His dismissal, and that of Ali's, feels like the eventual recognition of misuse and ambivalence. I think they have more to show, and there are a number of platforms for them to try.

Good riddance to Riddle, whose legal troubles and awful personal behavior was even too much for WWE (or now TKO's Even More Corporate Stance) to handle anymore.

What a career Ziggler's had. He never worked the indies, he was a star amateur wrestler who signed with WWE in his early 20s in the OVW days and stayed with them for almost two decades straight! He almost left WWE to try comedy full-time in the past and maybe he will again. He surely made a ton of money and doesn't need to wrestle again if he doesn't want to. Be creative however you want (except ugh on Fox News again) out there, Zig Zag Man.
I understand that Riddle has been his own worst enemy, but I enjoyed him on WWE television each week. Living in South Carolina probably won’t give me a chance to see him on independent shows, if he even does any. So personally I’m not happy to see him released, but I get it. Add this to Punk and I’ve lost two guys I enjoyed watching the most recently.

I believe Ziggler led all active WWE wrestlers in amount of matches. Kane holds the record. Kofi Kingston is now the new leader in the amount of matches by an active WWE wrestler.
Booker T says Dolph Ziggler's release is unsurprising after he became content on just staying in cruise control for the last decade and never bothered to do any sort of character growth or development. Interesting take.
I wonder where everybody winds up. There's some real talent in this pool, but honestly, the wrestling scene is getting pretty damn competitive at every level. Out of all these guys, I really only see Emma and Mustafa Ali as viable in AEW (although Shelton Benjamin is somebody who could be really valuable behind the scenes).
Riddle, of course, is another issue. There are probably a lot of places willing to take a chance on him because of his talent (and because he'd honestly be a draw for them), but I don't know if any serious companies want the PR problem. AEW especially, since they just got done dealing with Punk.
Has it really been a whole month since you and I watched this show together? Merciful heavens! PLAY THEM FIRST, then pause after the ad is over, then PLAY ME FIRST NEXT I'll warn you:
