Smackdown opened with John Cena answering Bray Wyatt's challenge, claiming that he talked in riddles and saying that it sounded like he was challenging him to a Last Man Standing match, but that that couldn't be the case, as those were brutal matches for tough people, and Bray, while dangerous, is not one to blunder into such a match. Cena accepted the challenge anyway, then issued an open challenge to any member of the Wyatt family. Bray retorted on the Titantron, speaking in riddles and promising that he would be the last man standing at Payback.

The Usos defeated the Rhodes Brothers in a tag team match. Cody cheated behind the back of the referee (and Goldust) a few times, but in the end it was for naught, as a superkick and a frogsplash put Cody away.

El Torito got Heath Slater one on one. Attempted interference by Hornswoggle backfired and somehow didn't result in a disqualification, when Hornswoggle accidentally low blowed Slater. The Bullsault followed to give Torito his second pinfall win over Slater in a week.

Nikki Bella defeated Natalya with Eva Marie as the special referee. Natalya's surfboard was countered by Nikki into a pin, though Eva Marie was a bit slow on the count. Despite the slow count that technically favoured Nattie, she was upset with Eva Marie after the match.

Dolph Ziggler faced Batista, after calling him out on Twitter. After Ziggler countered the Batista Bomb and started a comeback, Batista stopped a ten punch countalong with a low blow for the DQ. He followed up with a Batista Bomb in the ring, and then another Batista Bomb outside onto the barricade, to leave Dolph laying.

Sheamus faced Titus O'Neil, who cut a pre-match promo mocking Sheamus for holding the US Title despite not being American, and comparing his toughness to the Divas. When the match began, Sheamus immediately hit a Brogue Kick for the win.

Damien Sandow issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, getting Santino. The match was short, ending with a Cobra strike, and as Santino and Emma departed Sandow grabbed the microphone and went on about being a good soldier and doing what he was told, asking if the fans liked seeing the smart guy lose, then saying they were going to cut his mic off for about five seconds before they actually cut his mic off.

An update on Daniel Bryan's surgery was given afterwards, saying it was a success and that he hoped to address the fans on Monday.

In the main event, it looked like all three Wyatts were ready to beat Cena down, but the Usos came down as backup. Erick Rowan wound up being chosen to face Cena. An attempt at interference by Harper was cut off by the Usos, letting Cena hit the AA for the win.

Eva Marie did a horrible job refereeing, being slow to count or not bothering to count. I hope she is the last Diva hired based on looks, these girls need some training before they show up on TV. Her ineptitude is too much for even NXT.

Geez, Eva Marie can't even slap the mat three times correctly. What a waste of space. She's not that entertaining on Total Divas either. I'm totally biased but the few moments Alicia Fox has on the show are more entertaining and I'm sure there are other ladies they could put on there too. I actually liked Jojo more than Eva Marie.

Batista vs. Dolph Ziggler is exactly what I wanted to see with Daniel Bryan out of action. I think if Bryan's surgery is serious enough to take the title off him then Batista is obviously in the picture. Dolph can take his offense like a champ and make him look good. Hopefully they made this match with the DQ result as a way to possibly continue a feud.

Isn't Batista leaving after Payback to promote a movie he's in? I think they're likely to keep the title on Bryan if he's able to come back at the MITB PPV. What other heel is there to put the belt on? Orton again? Snore. Bray would be interesting as you could have Cena and Bryan chasing him, but I doubt it.

They should either (somehow) keep the belt on Bryan or give it to the man who conquered the streak, Brrrrock Lesnar! In both cases, Brock vs. Bryan could still main event Summerslam.

Do we really want Bryan anywhere near Brock so close to having had surgery? Brock isn't exactly known for not injuring his opponents.

Make the Cena/Bray match at Payback for the belt, and get it onto Bray. That'll fuel the title picture right through to autumn.

I overall think its a success,I think the choice for some TE2 winners weren't the best picked. I actually wasn't watching the Gayda/Stratus match as I was busy on the net so I won't bash what I never have seen And yes, where the hell is Hawk and Kenny?
