While the article is old apparently Johnny Ace did go out and scout him. Basically the bottom line was...if you can pass a drug test we'll take you. (Reported on Between The Ropes radio show this evening) http://www.betweentheropes.com
Looking at that picture from March I really doubt he'd pass anything to get back in the door. Drug related.
"World, Canadian, Celtic, Fusion all pulled off as there own."
He apparently had a great match in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago at the Ottawa Exhibition. it was very much a "Sid's Gonna Kill You!" match, but still good.
My weirdest wrestling memory is a Sid one. Me backstage baby-sitting Sid at the IWS' Fifth Anniversary show "V" (2004)where Sid was going to make his surprise comeback to wrestling after shattering his leg at WCW (Greed?)
Brian the Guppie or Manny or No-Face Joe came backstage and asked me where Sid was:
"He's in the bathroom painting the midget."
"Oh, OK. Keep up the good work Mike."

Patrick Lono just told me on Tuesday that when he submitted his report of that night, Meltzer woke him up at 1 am to fact check, because he didn't believe that it had actually happened.
I, for one, would love to see Sid Vicious have one last run in the WWE. No Sycho Sid, no Sid Justice, no "Just Sid"...Sid Vicious.
I've seen 14 movies so far this year: Because I Said So - (2*); Borat - (5*); Children Of Men - (4*); Die Hard 4 - (5*); Evan Almighty - (3.5*); Fantastic Four 2 - (4.5*); Hairspray - (5*); Harry Potter 5 - (4*); Knocked Up - (4*); The Last Mimsy - (4*); Mr. Brooks - (4*); Shrek The Third - (3*); Spiderman 3 - (3.5*); Transformers - (2*)
Watch the whole thing. The Outsiders were really great at promos! Damn I miss those days (Goldberg was on the verge of breaking through in this clip). I actually set up two TV's (one on top of the other) to watch wwF and WCW at the same time during this era....Playing Sega TV Golf tourneys with friends on the third TV. Fun, pure fun.
Sid was great during his time. He was never one of my fav's though (the no-sell to Hogans leg drop doesn't help him). If he returned, IMO it would be like when Sable returned.."wow look whose back, how did that happen...can I see some wrestling now?" With that said, I wouldn't buy the skin mag like I did for Sable/Tori..
I would dig a return of Sid. Sure he sucked something terrible in the ring, but for some reason he always entertained me. If some giant freak needs to return, I'm voting for the Ruler of the Squirrels.
In all fairness, Sid would be more entertaining than about 40% of the current WWE roster. I'm sure on a short-term basis he would make a great heel opponent for C.M. Punk, no?

More entertaining than Big Daddy V? You're crazy!
To be honest, I wouldn't get excited about it but I also don't think it'd be the worst idea either. He'd get a good nostalgia pop from the people that either didn't watch enough of him or don't remember him well enough to recall how atrocious he could be at times.
It would be particularly effective if it was later days ECW Sid - who comes in, gets a pop, powerbombs somebody, and THAT'S IT.
As someone who ruled the world, I'd think Sid wouldn't NEED a wrestler's paycheck.
But yes, I would also buy a pay-per-view where (in the pre-match promo, or in a mid-match aside to the camera) he referred to himself as the "master" and Cena as the "learner."

I must have missed the usually Lillian, Coach, King, and Joey out on Unlimited. Well, we'll skip that this week. It's time to wake up! We're LIVE in St. Louis Vinnie Mac's music starts out the show as he struts to the ring. Will Vince go to hell?
