One - perhaps two of these names does/do not belong!

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Divas Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill as well as Superstars Shelton Benjamin, Kung Fu Naki, Slam Master J and Jimmy Wang Yang as of today, April 22, 2010. We wish them the best in all future endeavors.
James was released because she more than once on the European tour arrived late for the bus, holding up travel. That was considered the straw that broke the camel's back dating back to her being disciplined by being sent to Smackdown.
If I recall correctly, she was disciplined for handling an intracompany breakup very badly. If I further recall correctly, it was strongly hinted that Cena was her breaker-upper.
I like Mickie, but I can't complain if it was a legit straw-breaking.
I love Shelton, but WWE was *never* going to do anything with him, and maybe a change of scenario will help him regain and maintain his motivation.

I think Mickie was done with her music career going on, but Shelton? TNA would smart to pick both of them up down the line maybe a few months from now and based on try outs as well if those two want to go there. Sucks to be those guys today, hopefully they will go out and prove WWE wrong.

With so many bimbo/skank/no-talent/look-a-likes in WWE, I always have to shed a tear when one that I actually like has to go (DISCLAIMER: Mickie & I share a birthday).
Unfortunately for Shelton, I think he's definitely a WYSIWYG kind of guy. I'm sure he'll find work somewhere else, but I dont know if he'll ever have that "IT" we all knew was missing but were all afraid to mention out loud.
WHOA! I'm very surprised by both Mickie James and Shelton Benjamin's releases, but I'm sure they'll both land on their feet.
I'm also surprised that Funaki got released... true, WWE hasn't done anything with him in a long time but as I recall he's been continually employed with the company since 1998.

Pity they never worked Jesse/Slam Master J into the Legacy angle. I guess because Terry Gordy wasn't really a WWF guy, aside from his Executioner stint.
AAA [hearts] bringing in both people off WWE TV and foreign women, so I suspect Shelton, Mickie and Katie Lea will be brought to Mexico for at least one appearance.
Yang was in ROH at least twice - but wasn't there something that happened the last time he left? Or was that first time?

I'd rather they released them before the draft, instead of announcing they were drafted to the other brand, then they never appear on television, and quietly get released anyway.
I'm suprised Mickie James was released, as it is nice to have women's wrestlers that can wrestle. I never understood the logic of hiring women based on their looks alone - if I want to watch hot women on tv, there are plenty of places to do it other than a wrestling show, so I don't think they are picking up any viewers. I love looking at hot women, but it doesn't mean I want to see them try to wrestle!
I'd be excited about Shelton (& probably Charlie Haas) showing up in TNA if it just weren't for this recent Hogan-based downturn in their product. Do we know what's really going on with Kurt's downtime? Could be a good time for ROH.
Mickie had a lot o' problems. First the same two strikes as Maria of the finite WWE female shelf life along with having the slightest desire to do anything outside of WWE. Plus being all fat. Plus the heat she had on Raw for "getting too clingy" over John Cena that led to her emergency trade to Smackdown last summer.

I think this is the third time he's been cut by WWE.

All three of the small dudes would fit right in as "show up and pin the X Division champion" TNA types.
Haas and Benjamin VS Beer Money as well as matches against MCMG and even Team 3D and L A X(when they reunite) should be awesome. Interestingly enough Haas was doing interviews recentely saying Benjamin's contract was expiring soon and begged him not to re-sign.

Impact was pretty good on Monday night and there's plenty of rumors that Russo is stepping down and Heyman may come in.
