Gangrel David Heath, known to many as Gangrel, made his WWE debut in the mid 90’s as the vampire leader of the Brood. With blood dripping from his trademark fangs, Heath created a memorable image for WWE fans.
Sucks to see Gymini gone, but they really missed the boat with Gangrel. They should have had him teaming up with or feuding against Kevin Thorn.
I wonder if this is the start of WWE's spring cleaning.
(edited by Oliver on 18.1.07 1129) I've seen ONE movie so far this year: Borat - (5*)
How many times are they going to bring back and re-release Gangrel? This has got to be at least his third round in the last few years and he's amassed ten minutes of airtime combined in all of those return runs.
Tony Mamaluke, Doug Basham and Al Snow(!) have been added to the cuts. Sucks for Al. I thought he had a job for life.
EDIT: Reading WWE.com, it seems as though Al's staying on under a separate training contract. That's good news.

Wow- Sylvester Terkay has been released as well. I'd expect to see Henry Godwin and maybe Brad Armstrong on the list soon as well (unless WWE really doesn't think they'll be able to re-sign Tazz).

Whoa, Terkay being shitcanned is bizarre. They never even really gave the guy a chance. I feel that they've missed an opportunity with him. Me and a few others spent the ad breaks for the UK ECW show jawing with him at ringside, and he was pretty quick witted. What does this mean for Burke? Nothing, I hope...

This is probably true, but I'm thinking/guessing someone (not in .com) has the full list, and they want to tell the people in personally before they clear the names to be posted on the 'net. It's staggered because you can't talk to everyone at once, yet they don't want other websites to post that information first.
Probably a lot of questionable people who have convenient dead batteries in their cell phones at the moment.
Terkay's a guy who was pushed in OVW and then brought to ECW, right? If you're a midcarder who hasn't proven yourself, and the guy who's backing slips out of power, that's always going to be a very bad sign. Everyone's someone else's personal project until they get over or get forgotten.
Can't say that any of these really surprise me at all ... I did like the Bashams & had hoped that they would maybe get another run together ... but oh well ...

I'd say Terkay was surprising. He was just on ECW last night seconding Elija Burke and took a cane shot from The Sandman. I thought he had a good look and was under the impression that he could go far with the right push.

If you're TNA management, who off this list are you interested in? Not a lot, I suppose. I'd be thinking about the Bashams...IIRC, they fueded for a long time in OVW before being paired up (and being presented as brothers) for national TV. Maybe bring them in to feud with each other, playing off their being made to play brothers in WWE. Basham is Doug's real name, yes?
Maybe Jazz, too, if the signs they've been giving about starting a woman's division will amount to something more than a T&A show. The others don't bring a lot to the table at this point, I think.
If they have any brains they'll snap up Jazz, and Terkay's fresh enough to make something out of. The rest are kinda dead weight, particularly Mamaluke, Gangrel, Mack and Anderson. TNA could have signed those guys before they were hired by WWe and didn't, so I don't see why they'd change their feelings now.

He was on Smackdown for quite a while before he moved to ECW. The story was that Michael Hayes wasn't a fan and when he took over the SD booking decided he didn't have anything for Terkay so they shipped him off to ECW along with Burke, Khali and Lashley. It's a shame too, since the guy had a really great look and believable gimmick.
I've never seen him cut any wrestling promos, but during his interview on that "101 Reasons..." documentary he seemed like a natural talker in front of the camera. Not overly charismatic but certainly on the same level of Lashley or Lesnar. No girly voice either.
He's the only one on that list who I'd like TNA to pick up.

Wait, I remember this plot from the old Super Friends cartoon. They thought Superman was dead, but instead he was in this weird pose that served to slow down his heart rate to a crawl so the kryptonite wouldn't affect him as strongly.
