When Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan fought in "Age In The Cage" in WCW, there were 44 and 43.
On an unrelated note, there are more people over 45 in the Men's elimination match than there are under 35.
But hey, the youngest guy on the Smackdown team is Randy Orton, so kudos for them to pushing young talent.
I truly believe if the WWE could get away with it, they would have Stephanie win the title. In fact, at this point, I expect it.
(edited by DirtyMikeSeaver on 14.11.17 0811) Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
Steph being back is always bad sign. She no sold Shield getting her face. I missed HHH's 100th surprise return. Snmackdown went out of their way to sell you on Survivor Series. Raw did the opposite. So, HHH will win the match even though I believe the original idea was have Steph be behind Snmackdown attacking Raw to fire Kurt. Now, we will be stuck again with 6 months of HHH/Steph bullshit.
Stephanie back is never good. HHH I'm meh on, it's not such a shocking return with how much WWE's social media has been promoting him wrestling all the time lately with Shield and his upcoming "dream match" against Jinder Mahal.
I wish they'd take a chance on anybody from the Raw roster instead of having to fill in HHH (Angle too really, though the newness is still there while we've seen 900 annual HHH returns). I'm not sure who though... Bray is still ice cold. Just throw Matt Hardy in there.
I still think we might get a cruiserweight elimination match in the preshow. It is a two hour preshow, after all. There's not many guys left to do anything in that time, unless you do a random Raw vs SD tag match with the Good Brothers vs Breezango or something.
The only positive part of Steph's promo to start was to point out that while Angle selected JJ for #5, Smackdown was able to get Cena. After that I kind of tune her out.
I can't help but think that Heyman deserves a lot of credit for us getting Brock/AJ. He buried Jinder when he first addressed that match, and sang AJ's praises last night. Also can't help but think that AJ holds on to the title for a while, as not only is Jinder now facing Trips in India, they've had to absorb one of the shows into another one due to poor ticket sales.
Finally, at this point have they exhausted all of their big man/holy s**t type moments/setups for Braun? Short of him channeling Taker's lightning striking the stage I think he's set.
