Umm... nobody watches this show anymore, correct?

I actually flicked by and tried to watch a few minutes. All I got is that Stephanie McMahon is the most important person on the show and Kevin Owens is somewhere between Titus O'Neal and Austin Aries.

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

The main event gabfest was truly remarkable, but perhaps nowhere near as remarkable as the blossoming Bayley vs. Stephanie McMahon vs. Ronda Rousey feud.

I just can't watch a whole Raw anymore, I can't do it. They have so badly mishandled Reigns and Rollins I tune out - either mentally or by literally changing the channel - when they come on now.

The Reigns problem is what it's been for the last two years: they booked him so horribly as Cena Jr. that he's a complete void in the middle of the show as a face. Giving him the US title now (instead of a few years ago, when he should have won it first by breaking Rusev's undefeated streak and made his bones as a Warrior/Goldberg-esque dominant secondary champ that the fans force into the World Title) simply makes it disappear as a title, it doesn't help him or the belt. He needed to turn heel a year ago at minimum, and until he gets that heel turn - where he can use the actual, real charisma that he does have - he'll *never* be a viable face. I just can't watch him anymore for now, and the best thing they could do with him is have Strowman obliterate him for the US Title to build to Braun vs. Sami at WrestleMania for the belt while putting the seed of doubt in Roman's character that would let him turn heel.

(I'll say it again: defy expectations and have Reigns lead Bullet Club 2.0 when Balor comes back to take his spot.)

Rollins, of course, never got to turn face because he came back from injury with fans treating him as one, so the company dug in, doubled down on him as a heel and gutted that fan support, then just decided he's a face now. His motivation coming back from injury would have been easy: being hurt made me realize how much I love wrestling. The face motivation they gave him, however, is: Wait a minute, HHH should be cheating to help me, not them!

And that's what has killed Rollins: he's a prop for another HHH feud, except HHH can't be bothered to be on TV when football is on and ratings are bad (let's see if Raw beats Smackdown this week, or if it happens next week when Undertaker and Michaels are on and HHH can slip back in with those two as ratings boostes), so we have a feud where it's literally Rollins asking where HHH is whenever HHH isn't on screen. (He's at the Performance Center, Seth. Go Curb Stomp him when he's in the ring giving people contracts or flowers.)

Anyway, because I can't make it to/through the main event anymore, I'm 95% sure the main event of every Raw since September has been Reigns beating Owens, Rollins beating Owens or Reigns and Rollins beating Owens, with Jericho getting Pedigreed in all three scenarios.

As TV entertainment, I love, love, love Jericho and Owens. But if you're going to put that (horrible) belt on Owens, he should get to be the guy who nuked John Cena when he debuted, not the fifth or sixth most important guy on the show. Why isn't Owens - who has proven himself to be unbelievably quick and witty in interview segments - being sent around to show up on morning TV shows doing his "Bad Guy Hiding Behind Being A Good Dad" character, which he would kill with on that kind of show? Owens, as champ, bragging about "making $35K in merchandise, and a $11-$12K on the loop" while dodging questions about being a bully who beats up his best friends is 100% a character that would connect with people.

On top of that, they've made Sasha vs. Charlotte a match/feud I can't ever imagine wanting to see again, and have bungled almost all of the cruisers (Heel Neville is good so far and Jack Gallagher is awesome and belongs on Smackdown).

Raw is basically a show with amazing assets being used in the worst possible ways. It sucks.

(Zayn vs. Braun: last man standing was great, though.)

It was a great match but Zayn has also been horribly used. Owens should be the guy who nuked Cena and Zayn should be the guy that won his feud against Owens. Instead Zayn's been booked like a guy who can't beat Strowman and needs Foley to try and talk him out of the match. The guy just beat the Universal Champion earlier this year and Strowman had accomplished nothing in his career.

I'm not much of an Austin Aries fan in the ring, but can WWE please keep him behind the desk as the Next Corey Graves? We all know what a revelation Graves has been as an announcer and the company is spreading him thin (which is why non-entity Percy Watson is the currently 3rd man in the booth at NXT I presume). Aries has been doing some great heel color commentary on 205 Live/for all cruiserweights and I assume McGuinness will be sticking around beyond the UK Tourney as another option. Meanwhile Otunga continues to be amazingly bland over on SD!

With all the Pedigrees and spears he's been taking, Jericho has to be having flashbacks to prior feuds.

I was hoping there'd be some sort of offhand "Oh sure, NOW you want a piece of me" comment from Jericho to Goldberg. Alas.

I didn't get that impression from that segment at all, actually. They were sort of pushing it as one of the starting points, a seminal moment so to speak, but not the end-all be-all.
