Headline pretty much has it. The leaked reports of the last few weeks pretty much had it - it's on over the top service with both streaming and VOD service. Every PPV ever will be on VOD along with all the shows, and it appears the B TV shows will be airing 'live' on the network as well as pre/post shows for RAW & Smackdown (which won't be airing live.) There's ancillary programming: the long ago taped Legend House show, and WWE Countdown (in the vein of similar off time filler program on your average sports network.)
That $9.99 is if you buy the first six months (so perhaps it'll be a bit more down the line.) All PPVs are covered - it's not just WrestleMania this year, but WrestleMania every year.
I don't have the complete list of devices, but PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, Roku and Android were among those mentioned. (Didn't catch any Apple mention.)
Service will go live in on 02/24, but they were less specific about where (besides the US.) I think there might have been a mention of an international time line - did someone else catch it?
This sounds like the best set up for fans, and a big risk for WWE. Hope it works.
Apparently you're not allowed to say Apple. And we thought WWE was stingy!
Speaking of, confirmation on THE BIG RETURN:
"More than 1,500 hours of archived programming, that includes the WCW and ECW video libraries, will air uncut and uncensored, so references to the World Wrestling Federation, old logos, or matches involving former wrestler Chris Benoit or former announcer Jesse Ventura will no longer be scrubbed from history."
Geez, tough sentence clause context for Governor Ventura.
Wrestlemania 31 being on the network was heavily implied but it seemed like there might've been some sleight of hand going on by mentioning "all 12 PPVs" (between now and then).
IN FACT: you can only sign up for six months at a time, no month-to-month just to grab, say, next year's Royal Rumble for $10.
I think there might have been a mention of an international time line - did someone else catch it?
On February 24, WWE Network will also be available through the WWE App on: Amazon’s Kindle Fire devices; Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy; iOS devices such as Apple iPad and iPhone; Roku streaming devices; Sony PlayStation® 3 and Sony PlayStation® 4; and Xbox 360. Availability on additional devices, including Xbox One and select Smart TVs, will follow this summer. For more information, go to wwe.com/devices.
They confirm elsewhere that if you have the App, that'll start playing the Network once it becomes available - so that's a way to tell. If you can get a WWE app on your device, you have access to the network.
10. What content will I find on WWE Network? WWE Network is a 24/7 streaming service with both scheduled programming and an on-demand library. WWE Network will include all 12 WWE live pay-per-view events including WrestleMania 30, groundbreaking original series, reality shows and documentaries, and the most comprehensive video-on-demand library featuring all WWE, WCW and ECW pay-per-views and classic matches uncut and uncensored as well as replays of Raw and SmackDown episodes. Additional programming, including a live daily studio show coming this summer, and video-on-demand content will be added regularly.
Scott Stanford lives!
25. Will WWE Network be available internationally? Beginning Monday, February 24, WWE Network will only be available in the United States. WWE Network is scheduled to launch in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Nordics by the end of 2014/early 2015.
Sorry. Sorry more if you're not in one of those countries and have no timeline.
26. Will all content on WWE Network be PG? WWE Network will contain a range of programming suitable for various audiences. Content rated TV-14 or TV-MA will be preceded by appropriate advisory messages recommending viewer discretion. Parental controls will be available for on-demand content.
They pushed uncut/uncensored during the presentation; I'd guess the decision to leave Benoit on the show is a product of that overriding philosophy and not a specific change of mind on him.
Alvarez says you can't buy month to month, but in six month chunks.. Stops people from jumping on/off around a PPV, and it's easy to forget one six month deadline (08/24) and be pulled back in for another six months.

Unless Sean Mooney is strapping on the powder blue one more time, old friend, they'd better not think about having anyone but Renee Young hosting Livewire 2000.
I'm still a bit confused about the 6-month block thing, though. Am I paying $60 up front, or am I committing to pay $9.99 a month for six months, with some sort of penalty if I cancel early?

From what I'm reading, your credit card (or Paypal account) will get charged $10 a month for six months. You can cancel early, but you're still obligated to pay the rest of the $60 for that half year.
I haven't watched any WWE programming for nearly 3 years now because I haven't had cable and couldn't be bothered to pirate it. I'll definitely be checking out the first six month run. It'll be only the second Wrestlemania I've ever seen live.
As soon as this is available in Canada, I'm in - full stop.
Actually, depending on how they do billing, I might be fine. I use a US Proxy for work that lets me watch US content.......if they're fine with a Canadian billing address, I get get this on the launch date.

Fingers crossed that it'll be available in the Netherlands at some point. WWE usually forgets about us (though we ARE getting a house show for the 2nd year in a row) but if they don't I'll be first in line to get it.

Same here (in Germany).
I wonder what would happen, if I would buy my subscription while I'm in the States (for Wrestlemania), but then would return back home to Europe. Would I still be able to stream the Network on "all devices" afterwards? Probably not, right?
Originally posted by BigDaddyLocoDumb XBOX question, but do you need an XBOX Gold account for this, or just an internet connection. I don't really want to fire that up again.
I can't answer specifically for this app, but since you have to have Xbox Gold to watch Netflix, WatchESPN, and HBO Go, I suspect you'll need it for this as well.
That is not a dumb XBox question, I don't want to buy Gold to get this. I have enough people telling me I suck online, I don't need the Xbox community added to the list. If the Rumble was part of this, instant buy. You are not even going to get the Elimination Chamber. I have up in the air plans for Mania, so I am might do the wait and see what happens after Mania and go from there. I can't believe with Batista's return and a Brock Lesnar match at the Rumble, they didn't have this ready to go.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
Jesus Christ, ten dollars a month for up-to-date pay per view, TV and a vast archive of historical American wrestling and you STILL find a way to turn it into a bitchfest. "You don't even get Elimination Chamber." No, you get the six pay per views after it. Including the show that costs sixty bucks on its own.
This should be a no-brainer for everyone who can access it. I'd be signing up yesterday if it were rolling out in the UK right now.

If you knew *half* of the project planning and IT infrastructure requirements for something as huge as this network, you'd realize that you're talking out of your ass right there.

When they say uncut, does that mean the ECW stuff will have the 90s rock entrance music? Will it have ads for Extreme Warfare Volume 2? This is very important to me.
Ummm... Just to put a total crimp on some of these arguments... Lou Thesz DID work for the WWF... as a guest referee. I'm forgetting the details, but I think Backlund was involved somehow.
