Here's the deal - all I cared about was that the Cena/Owens match was good - everything else was gravy (or...whatever the opposite of gravy is). So, even though Cena won...it was a fine show despite almost all of the decisions going against what the live crowd clearly wanted.

But that's just me.

Pre-show: Barrett pinned again...this time by King What's Up and everyone chuckles heartily

Sheamus is Mr. Money in the Bank (Reigns is an idiot)
Nikki retains after Paige pinned Brie and was distracted
Big Show beats The Ryback via DQ thanks to Mizery
Cena defeats Owens
Prime Time Players defeat Big E & Xavier Woods to take the straps
Rollins retains all by himself after a Triple H pep talk, while Sheamus was already on a plane, apparently

Just a disappointing show with a lot of weird decisions in it, at least to me.

Why even bother when we know within two months we are supposed to love the Bellas again? The divas match is the kiss of death on these shows lately, and having the Bellas go good-bad-good-bad-good isn't helping since they are determined for them to be the faces of the division.

New Day losing in their hot streak to the so-so PTP? I like 'em, but no. Exception: rematch tonight, and New Day wins it back (which defeats the entire purpose, but rights the wrong).

Nothing about King Bad News makes sense.

Couldn't care less about Big Show-Ryback because, much like the Bellas, they have made me care so little about Big Show.

I did appreciate the three main matches, at least. MITB was fun, maybe not on the level of some of the bigger MITB matches, but good.

Owens-Cena II was quality stuff, though Cena winning on a mostly-missed springboard stunner and AA was lame. The post-match beatdown was a good thing, at least.

Ladder match was fun.

I was basically looking at this as a one match show as well and the one match delivered. The loss doesn't bother me as much as Cena now telling Owens that belongs here, but after the first match he was you know ... half a man. That alone deserves a powerbomb on the apron. Now can they hold off doing match 3 until Summer Slam?

I liked the Women's match.

This is the second show without a Roman Reigns singles match somewhere on it and it is the second show in a row without a real strong second match. Roman vs Bray should be really good, even if the build up to it won't be.

If we learned anything from last night it is something we all kind of knew in our hearts anyways and that is the ladder match may have finally run it's course.

Ambrose vs Rollins reminds me of Hardy vs Hardy. It's something that sounds great and should be wild but turns out underwhelming. I liked it more than the crowd seemed to though.

That piece of crap Dean can climb a ladder on one leg.

I wish just one of these Ambrose/Rollins matches would end with Rollins hitting his move and beating Ambrose clean in the ring.* These constant half-ass "wins" make Rollins look like the biggest chump on the roster.

*What I actually want is for Ambrose to win, but hey, let's not ask for the moon here or anything.

The match was great, Owens is great, Cena is great, blown stunner aside, but WTF is Cena's point? When Owens beat him, he was like, yeah you beat me but you're not really that good tbh. And now he beats Owens and he says, no actually you're pretty good. WTF? He deserved that power bomb, what a dick.

I thought he deserved it just for being a douche to the ref repeatedly and for his first "instant replay!" blowup. He kicked out of your move. It happens all the time in your big matches.

I still maintain Reigns was kinda smart by putting the other six guys out. After all, it wasn't any of THEM who knocked him off the ladder in the end, was it?

Even IJ was less than impressed with Sheamus, seeing as just a few months ago Brock and Roman killed themselves and Seth ran in to make it a triple threat, but Seth and Dean are gonna have a ladder match and Sheamus was like...nah, catering is EXTRA GOOD this week. Or something.

This show really left us wanting. I loved the finish of the Divas match as a Dusty call-out. (Brie Bella for show MVP>) I thought Owens/Cena was OK but other than more of Owens' impressively diverse offense being on display it was such a 95% rerun of their first match I couldn't really get into it. (Also, the announce crew totally forgetting Brock Lesnar killing Cena was a thing that happened took me out of it.) Maybe it was just the crowd being kind of flat all night that made it seem not as good as it should've been.

Also, WWE, PLEASE turn down the mics by the ring? Paige and Nikki damn near had an audible conversation for their whole match.

I really thought when Rollins was given the mic to say he was the greatest that Brock was going to come out to hand him a one-way ticket to Suplex City.

It isn't unheard of for the Money in the Bank briefcase to be put on the line in a match. Edge won the briefcase away from Mr. Kennedy. What if Sheamus didn't cash in because he's selling the briefcase to Brock?

I wonder if the ending of the divas match was the originally planned ending or if they felt obligated to throw a Dusty finish on the show?

Should it be standard practice to check under the ring before a Bellas match at this point?

Rumor is HHH/Rollins for SummerSlam. Let us all enjoy that for the summer. Cena's feuds are all the same. Lose to Monster. Beat Monster by inches. Total Destroy Monster. Move on to Next Monster. Hug a Kid somewhere in between.

We all want KO to be special. He is being treated by such, but wins and loses matter if they didn't Brooklyn Brawler would be in the HOF.

My 11 year old daughter made the same comment pre-match.

Enjoyed the heck out of Owens/Cena and loved the post-match shenanigans even more. I'm down for more of this feud.

Really liked that they had Rollins go without any outside interference last night but not necessarily the ending to the match. I guess the ending still leaves Ambrose in the picture going forward but would rather them make Rollins seem a bit stronger as champ.

This show ceased to matter as soon as a sobbing Renee threw to Tom Phillips forcing out strained, pained WWEspeak through her tears. Fuk. What a deeply humane moment.

So much for Money in the Bank being money in the bank. A bleh MITB match after a couple bleh Elimination Chamber matches is extra disappointing since they were the last gimmick PPVs with an unimpeachable track record. Instead, both of these two shows should've been named Cena Versus Owens I and Cena Versus Owens {Play Button}. At this rate the Net Work could give away a surprise Wargames special and have it be boring. Yet at the same time the Great Japanese Bash show still looks like surefire excellence.

It's funny whenever Reigns doesn't win something, but I would've preferred that straightforward route -- guess he's not adding himself to Rollins/Lesnar to settle it once and for all -- to Sheamus getting the case and now getting to go through all that. I suppose there was no one I wanted to see win. Really the perfect guy for it would've been Ambrose. I agree with Matt's idea, get Sheamus' cash-in off the books right away with a big Lesnar angle ruining it, then go a year without the case to rejuvenate it.

While most wrestlers' ultimate dream is to win the main event of Wrestlemania, I bet Bray Wyatt's is to teleport into the main event of Wrestlemania and cost the babyface the match.

Using the briefcase quickly has to be the priority so it isn't carried around for months with the fake attempts at cashing in destroying the interest in it. Problem is why would Shaemus use it with Brock coming back in to the title picture? Sensible option would be to keep it until his few appearances have gone and then cash it in on a weak champion. Downside is we have him walking around with it over the summer months doing nothing with it.

You do realize you're describing Game of Thrones, right?

I had a minute and a half long video clip of exactly that scene playing in my head after I read this.

Which is odd, because I thought it was a really good crowd up to that point.

They were burnt out after Cena/Owens. I was at home, too.
