From the WON, who got it from the Smart Wrestling Fan podcast and were able to confirm it as being correct. Things can change until they're announced, and then again after. There are spoilers below, though not much you couldn't have guessed at.
- John Cena vs The Miz [WWE Title] - Undertaker vs HHH (HHH career not on the line, so far) - Edge vs Alberto del Rio [World Title] - CM Punk vs Randy Orton - John Morrison, Trish Stratus, Kelly Kelly vs Lay Cool & Dolph Ziggler - The Corre vs Big Show, Kane, Kofi, Christian - Rey Misterio vs Cody Rhodes - Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole [special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin] - Daniel Bryan (w/Gail) vs Sheamus (w/Bellas) - A Divas match TBD
10 matches. No Money in the Bank. Probably a big off the air battle royal for everyone else.
I can't wait to find out why Cole picks Austin, mostly because I can't figure out why Cole would ever pick Austin.
Sucks to be R-Truth. Done in by Milwaukee. Everyone else important is accounted for, but Morrison and Dolph go from potential showcase highlight match to afterthoughts. Time should be a problem as it always is -- there are no matches like Taker/Michaels calling for half an hour this year either but there's a lot of Rock talking to factor in too.
Austin as referee must mean Michaels is going to be interested observer as opposed to ref of the streak match.

I think this man's hubris will lead to him getting not the referee he had in mind somehow.
JR is gonna be in hog heaven calling that Cole-Lawler match.
This is not "RVD gets demoted from WMXIX to Heat"-level outrage, but I'm *shocked* that Santino is not on the card. No Cobra. I figured he and Kozlov would've been part of that 8 man tag. Also, this means I should never try to predict anything ever again.
There is still the outside chance that Austin could be revealed as the Anonymous Raw GM as once teased a few months ago, right? Thus, he'd make himself the referee. Is this the thread to do one final Foley-esque investigation of all the various, conflicting GM clues?
Morrison/Kelly Kelly/Trish vs. LayCool and Dolph seems really random for a WM match. Couldn't they add Morrison's pal Truth to his team and Drew McIntyre - who at least has/had that lingering story with Kelly - to the heel team to round it out? That would also give them plenty of opportunities to try out a Truth heel turn (which I'd like to see) or tease a McIntyre or Ziggler face turn as post-Mania angles.
Corre vs. Kane/Kofi/Khristian/"Knucklehead" Star Big Show is a total mess of a match that shows how many orphaned storylines they dumped in late fall. Christian and Barrett deserve better. I guess one problem I'm seeing is that, more than I can ever remember, a weird amount of their Wrestlemania booking seems like it can only pay off in Special Guest Referee Matches:
Cole/Lawler will apparently have Special Guest Referee Stone Cold Steve Austin Cena/Miz could have Special Guest Referee The Rock HHH/UT could have Special Guest Referee Shawn Michaels Edge/Del Rio could have Special Guest Referee Christian
Just feels like a lot of lazy bottlenecking that cropped up when they changed everything around heading into the Rumble and has resulted in this strange state where half the card is a match where someone isn't facing the person they've logically set us up to want to see them face for the last half a year.
Oh yeah I forgot about Drew too. He really should petition to get in that mixed tag.
This is the first show without a MITB since Wrestlemania 20 (a five-hour show) so it's the first time in a long time you see them put together such a long card. They tried to take care of almost everybody, but it's a logjam. I like the show a lot better with Morrison/Christian/Ziggler/Truth/McIntyre/Kofi/Kane/Bourne having a guaranteed **** ladder match, but what can you do.
I would suspect Santino gets his payoff as part of backstage thingy with Rock.
Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you... No MITB is a tremendous, tremendous fail on WWE's part. It hasn't been more necessary to use it to push someone who deserves it in the case of John Morrison since CM Punk won his first one, and Morrison's reward for all his hard in-ring work of the last few months is to play third fiddle to the Divas in a mixed tag match? For shame, Vince, for shame.
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Well, geez, man, they do have whole a pay per view now called Money in the Bank that Morrison could conceivably win later this year. It makes more sense not to have two Money in the Bank winners per year like there was last year.
My gut reaction is I kind of like the card. It looks a bit like the modern day equivalent of a late-80's, early 90's WrestleMania card. A three ring circus/little something for everyone.*
*Having said that, I'm pretty glad we decided not to spend the $$ to go to Atlanta for this. Watching it at home will be just fine.

Yeah, but what are the odds that PPV will be seen by even twenty-five percent of the audience 'Mania will? It would make even more sense not to have a MITB Pay-Per-View at all, and do the same match twice in one night. They've absolutely killed that match, the EC, and HITC by turning them into non-special matches on themed, silly events that do shit buyrates.
If Morrison is on the card, he'll get to showcase. I'm not worried about it. I'd actually be more worried about him seriously hurting himself doing fucked up shit in a ladder match.
But come on, it's Morrison and Trish Stratus in the same match...it's like Neo and Trinity. They might steal the show.
I thought Eve vs. the Bellas was already booked? I guess not. Is there a point of having a Divas match when you have the mixed tag and having three others as arm candy in another match? I think not, that is more time for matches or a Tag Team championship match. Even with the MitB PPV, I still like it for Mania. Plus, we also don't know with how crappy these buyrates are if they will do a MitB PPV again? I don't think we will get guest referee out since Austin is going to the be only one I expect HBK to do a run-in. Rock being the guest host will lead some backstage stuff and he will have something to do with Miz/Cena like guest timekeeper or announcer.
HHH/Taker is going to take half an hour mainly due to their bodies lagging around the ring by the 10 or 15 minute mark. Does anyone know when they are starting Mania is it going to be 8:00 pm or 7:30 pm? I am thinking this is going to be a four hour Mania if not four and half. How much of that will be entertaining, who knows? Morrison and Dolph deserve better, but I do love the idea of the WWE's Neo and Trinity out shining the entire roster. Dark horse match will be Bryan vs. Sheamus if they can get rid of the bitches.
Pairing Ziggler and Morrison makes me think Ziggler and Vickie end up on Raw sooner than later. Maybe next week, even. LayCool obviously come for the ride because of their relationship with Vickie.
Yeah, a lot of this seems very random. Kane, Kofi, and Christian getting tossed in against The Corre guys? Austin as the special referee for Cole/Lawler? Sheamus getting paired with Bryan after both guys got buried last Monday? McIntyre and Truth getting left off the card entirely, while Swagger gets to tag along in a managerial capacity?
None of this is particularly screaming "Wrestlemania" to me, aside from the main events.

Aww, classy.
I have to echo that Santino is the biggest omission here, and here's hoping they do go with a pre-show battle royal or four corners match or something, if for no other reason than to get a McIntyre and Santino involved.
And seriously, Trish? I love the woman, but don't we have enough women - sorry, I mean bitches, of course - on the card already?

Am I the only one that looks at that list and thinks (outside the obvious matches) - Wild Speculation? None of the "out of the blue" matches make any kind of sense at all, unless you are deep into what you want to see.
Sheamus and Bryan already teased tension last week. Trish and Kelly already fought LayCool at last Month's PPV. Rock is the guest host of Mania which means the Raw GM coughColecough has no real power at the event. Rock already threatened Cole and since Rock wants to make it the biggest Mania of all time why not add Austin to the PPV. If you read the spoilers for Smackdown, The Corre vs. the Smackdown mid-card will start soon. They have 4 weeks to make this work and most of this stuff is already in motion. All the big matches are booked, so they just have to do the mop up work.
GRL, I just call it as I see it. Don't get your panties in a bunch. Gail is a shell of her former TNA shelf and the Bellas are one trick ponies. Trish on the other hand is a Goddess. Bryan and Sheamus don't need a catfight to give heat to that match. Shove those girls into the bathroom match before HHH/Taker. As much as I agree Santino needs to be part of it, a two minute segment between him and Rock is really all that needs to happen and all the fans want anyway.

It was a run sheet someone supposedly found backstage at Raw two weeks ago, and it had Jack Swagger listed in Michael Cole's corner before they did that angle, so it seems legit as of what they intend for now. The only match listed there that hasn't gone in that direction on TV yet is Morrison and Ziggler's involvement with the girls (but it's a small hop from Kelly to Vickie to Dolph).

Isn't it usually a 4-hour show that starts at 7?

My hope was that they'd kill the MITB PPV after realizing it was a poor and poorly-performing idea for a PPV.
My gut reaction is I kind of like the card. It looks a bit like the modern day equivalent of a late-80's, early 90's WrestleMania card. A three ring circus/little something for everyone.
I thought the same thing! I can totally picture the back of the box's long list of matches at my local film rentery.
SIX-PERSON MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH John Morrison, Trish Stratus & Kelly Kelly vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool with Vickie Guerrero

Three Money in the Bank winners, actually: Jack Swagger at WrestleMania (and what an unqualified disaster that reign was), and then Kane won the SmackDown MITB and Miz won the RAW one on at the MITB pay-per-view.

I don't know what this says.

Yes. They brought back The Rock, after a 7 year hiatus, to be the timekeeper.
