I highly doubt any US station will be showing today's Canada-Russia gold medal game, but anyone with a dish that gets TSN should watch. Game starts at 7pm Eastern (5pm in Alberta, 8:30pm in Newfoundland. Be there, aloha.)
Watch Canada kick some Russian junior ass! Watch the citizens of Halifax go insane, and then drink every bar in the downtown area dry! Watch for my brother-in-law in the eighth row, behind the players' benches!
I was looking forward to seeing good Canadian prospects score repeatedly on Andrei "Fat-Ass" Medvedev, Team Russia's fat-ass goalie and a Flames prospect. He has less of a shot of making the NHL than *I* do, and that's saying something.
Good to see Eric Nystrom (Flames first round pick last year) playing well for Team USA, though. Makes me have hope for the future.

Ummmm ... I mean ... good game! Well done everyone! Congratulations to our dirty, cheating, Communist bastard opponents!
(And Fat Ass Medvedev played a hell of a game. Aren't goalies like pitchers in baseball -- it don't matter how big the gut is if you can get the job done?)
I hate the army and I hate the RAF I don't wanna go fighting in the tropical heat. I hate the civil service rules And I won't open a letter bomb for you. ------------------------------------------------ Joe Strummer Lives!
No one in the US picked up any of the games. Not the gold medal game, not the U.S. Vs Finland and NOT Canada Vs. U.S.
There were SEVEN NHL games on the same night that the U.S. played Canada in the World Junior tournament and everyone in the States was treated to championship poker on ESPN2.

Here's a surprise from the Island: How 'bout Mariusz Czerkawski coming back and rocking the house even more than the last time he was here (take THAT Habs!). But the more recent surprise:
