Explain to me why the Pistons would do this deal. I don't care about the fact that Stackhouse has a deal that runs out after this year. They finally had a team put together that played great last year, won a division and won a playoff series.
Figure out what to do with him after this season for crying out loud.
Hamilton is good, but I am not convinced he is better, although he is younger.
I just don't get how/why you break up that team after they finally put something together last year!!!
---------- And the real wonder of the world is that we don't jump too ----------
Perhaps Carlisle and Co. thought that after the exit from the playoffs last season, Stackhouse would come back as the old Stackhouse, take about 40 shots a night in order to put up the numbers for his trip into free agency. Plus, if they weren't going to resign him, at least they were able to pick up a good/very good player in Hamilton.
Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.
I have to agree with haz here, but on the other hand, it wouldn't be the first time Dumars did something I didn't understand and it turned out to be right.
Three Faces of Dean: Teenage Riot, T.R., and now this guy
You see this? You see how my body's glowing like that? Yeah... a lot of people can't do that. Come get some of this glowing. Oh, okay, you. You want some. You want some of the glowing. Look, man... your soul... I'm going to totally floss with it and chew on your spirit. I read that somewhere. But I'll do it.
Well, Hamilton's been developing pretty well in Washington, maybe they figure he's an upgrade at this point.
That said, when the trade breaks down to Rip for Stackhouse, it gets me in to cockles of my Husky heart (sure, I'm not going there, but they're the only college basketball team I care about) to see that he's on that level.
I just chalk it up to another case of the Wizards being the Wizards. If they had traded Gheorge Muresan straight up for Shaq back in the day, Muresan would be all-world and Shaq's spleen would've exploded on opening night. Just the kind of mojo they have around the team.

That's true, but didn't he also have his best seasons like the first two years he left Washington? I could be wrong cause I don't really follow the TWolves.
I'm a stackhouse fan. If he can keep playing the way he has .... hes a huge weapon. And if he reverts back.... then the wizards can use that too if jordan cant stay healthy. Should be interesting though.
Long story short, everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) on the Knicks is out for themselves. They play for their own individual stats and not for the betterment of the team.
