I doubt anyone cares much of anything for the Big Bossman anymore. He's one of those guys (like Chavo and Hardcore) who could show up on TV next week as a face and it wouldn't be much of a shock. I'm not saying he'd be succesful at it, but he has no character anymore. He's the random tag team partner, he's the jobber on Heat/Velocity (see, I don't even freaking know which show he'd be on!).
I don't know what to say about X-Pac. He comes accros as a very annoying character. And quite frankly, I don't think an annoying character works, even as a heel. No matter how educated the IWC is, we still fall victim to how people are portrayed as characters.
I think Hogan is the perfect example of this. When they weren't showing him as the Geriatric Wonder, instead as a wily veteran who doesn't have as much physical ability, but instead relied on his wits, he was a well-liked character on the boards. The character makes sense, it seems possible. But now, they try to portray him as just as dominant as he was 20 years ago, people hate him. They say his moves suck, he doesn't sell, and so on. Well, he was doing the same thing before, but people forgot about it, because the character clicked with people. I hope I'm getting my point across and not just rambling. Whatever.

I can answer the Bossman question for you in 2 words...Kennel Match.

As for X-Sac...Well, his character type died with the New Age Outlaws. At best he's just kinda "there." At worst, he's annoying as hell, and not annoying in that Kurt Angle way (where it is good schtick)...He's just annoying.

Your line of reasoning is so flawed it's not even funny. If the Kennel Match is the sole reason for Bossman "hatred" as you claim -- and I'm guessing you think he's "hated" because that match wasn't one of the WWF's better ideas -- then why isn't Al Snow equally derided? After all, it takes two (or more) to make a match.

I dislike the Bossman because I can't remember the last great or even decent match he has been in. He brings every opponent down to his slow level, and he was taking a slot away from many better wrestlers. Seriously, when was the last good Bossman match? I would have to set the way back machine to 1990 or something.

X-Pac gets on my nerves not because of his matches (unlike Bossman) but because of what I hear about him. Obviously I wasn't there for any of X-Pac's tirades, so these are all just rumors to me, but here is just a few things I have heard about him:

1. X-Pac gets a chance to help book the light-heavyweight division and helps make himself the champion.
2. Later, X-Pac notes that he is above being in said division.
3. X-Pac complained about not having a slot on the Wrestlemania X-7 show to HHH, and then promptly gets a Heat match on that show.
4. X-Pac complained about having to wrestle on Heat and Raw, and then he suddenly is off of Heat.

X-Pac comes off as a power-hungry, whiny, "cancer" to the locker room. I also think that X-Pac is overrated as a wrestler, and all that equals...X-Pac really does suck.

Neither X-Pac nor Bossman:

* have interesting characters, or display and character development.
* sell well.
* have interesting movesets.
* bring anything to any match they are in.

Need more?

IMHO...

X-Pace is not that bad. He sells OK and I can really hate his personality (I'm supposed to usually as he has most often been a heel).

As for the other guy (I refuse to say his name...) he has got to be one of the worst that I have seen. He can't punch, can't sell a punch and has an extremely slow plodding style that makes his matches unbearable.

I don't take locker room politics into consideration, 'cause I am not in the locker room, what do I know.

Sean's matches are all the same. That kicky thing in the corner, a little bronco-buster (You just know the braniacs in WWE's brain trust are going to have to have him face Rey-Rey for the dueling Bronco-busters) and a few kicks. He's a little guy with a relatively limited arsonal (sp?) that is buds with guys who have (or had) a lot of pull. (Nash, HHH, HBK, Hall). He should be in matches with guys like Funaki and Kidman and other, smaller men, but gets the upper mid card because of his pull. If I never had to see his kick left, kick right, spin kick in the corner thing again, it would be OK with me.

Bubba's a similar story. He had his days as an upper mid-carder and did OK. But he's much slower and less able to hold the midcard than he was a few years ago. He, deservingly, works the lower card matches for the most part these days.

Bossman = simply NO character

As far as Kennel from Hell, maybe quite possibly the worst stip match in the WWF EVER.

X-pac = Bronco Buster, lil short shorts, Uncle Kracker X-factor music, stupid long hair and beard even though he looks like he's 12, and he does the Three same moves every match: spinning heel kick, bronco buster, x-factor

Shit, remember InVasion, he was getting booed to hell even though he was WWF.

Because two years ago Bossman beat the Rock without any help for the number one contendership and then went on the feud from hell for the World Title with Big Show. The Bossman promos were funny to begin with, but dammit the guy can't wrestle to save his life. When he came out wrestling in a suit, I gave him a chance, but dammit, he sucks!

X-Pac, however, I've actually coem around on. For four straight years I hated him. Now, he makes me laugh. I don't wanna' see him in too many feuds against guys bigger and better than him, but there's something about him running around in circles in that Kane mask that brings a smile to my face. Also, he didn't wanna' wrestle on both shows because he's got a bad back. I don't really care, because a wrestlers job should be wrestling, but if he's honestly afraid of injury and working two shows increases the chances, I see his point. I don't mind Pac as long as he's standing in the background. Otherwise, he SUCKS!

You're all wrong about X-Pac. It's because 2 and a half years ago, he punched Kane in the nuts and gave him an X-Factor during atga match against the Dudleyz. The fans still haven't forgiven him for it. Him stealing Kane's mask isn't helping his cause any, either. ;)

I like your qualifiers: "maybe quite possibly." All followed up by "EVER." That's good work there.

Obviously you don't remember Jake the Snake and Rick Martel's "Blindfold" gimmick match, do you? Or Patterson and Brisco in evening gowns, for that matter. Kennel was bad and lame, but NOTHING, in my mind, gets any worse than Jake and Martel with bags over their heads fumbling around in the ring.

i was there for that historic show!! not only did 'pac lose his last chance at being a face, but it was the last time D'lo Brown held WWF gold. he lost to Davey Boy Smith, with the help of the mean street posse
