Hello?
Anybody?
"Seattle takes Luke Ridnour to go with Collison ... they're stockpiling white guys to go clubbing with Brent Barry." ESPN.com's Bill Simmons from his 2003 NBA draft diary.
"How did the Cards go 11-5? How did Emmie Smith rush for 1,400 yards? How did Jeff Blake become the No. 3 rated passer in the NFL? You dreamt it, that's how."

Football is #1 these days but some put basketball ahead of baseball now, and most put basketball ahead of hockey (except in Canada maybe ).

Technically, it starts the end of October.

Hard to argue with that.

the reason why there is no new posts is that there's nothing new to really talk about; Kobe's case is tied up in the legal system, we all know where LeBron's at, all the trades are done, and the Webber story is a moot point, and boring.
But do not fear; the upcoming NBA season is one of the more exciting ones in recent memory; with the LeBron's and the Carmello's to watch, and the "all star" team that is the Lakers, and all the trades that has made up interesting teams makes basketball a great television program to check out. of course football is the number 1 star in most people's hearts and minds, but the NBA will seep into the gen pop sooner rather than later.
... The proper question is "WHAT killed the Basketball forum?"
It was the Lakers not winning the championship last season.
Since 99% of the posts in this forum were nothing but people whining about the Lakers' success, it is very quiet now that someone else is holding the title for a year.
Next summer, the whining will start again.

If that's true, then I'll take a dead Basketball forum over the Lakers never winning a title again anytime.
