In my case, my current dream is grandchildren and a decent retirement. I am hoping my children marry good folks and have some kids before I get too old to enjoy being a grandfather. I don't really have any work dreams left. I like to think I have my dream job now. My dream romance lives for the last 30 years(actually, more like 35) and my children are grown and seem to be doing well.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy - Swift
I had hoped my retirement would build up well enough to retire before 60 (say 55-57) and my wife and I work in Africa or Asia with Methodist ministries in agriculture, education etc. Well my retirement lost over 50% of its value thanks to the stock market. Retirement now from regular employment is likely never as I doubt my retirement protfolio will ever now get to the point we could live off the interest.
Then I could continue to accomplish the rest of my secondary dreams.

Check your 401k again soonish. Mine is back up by half of what I lost, but I never adjusted it. I had a 50% drop as well.
To own a small coastal bar in Huatulco, Puerto Angel, or even somewhere further south, maybe in the Chahuites district - where I spend my days surfing and my evenings tending bar - perhaps even performing on the off-nights with a small band or jazz combo.
A lot of the bands mentioned are still fine-Journey, ABBA,Chicago. Man, I still love Chicago 17-it's a hard habit to break. There is, however, no excuse for me liking Celine Dion in the mid-90s, just as she started releasing albums in English.
