I'm new to this board and I was simply wondering what the members thought might happen this coming week with Eugene. After his major angle with The Rock last week do you think he will continue on with a quasi-feud with the Coach, or will the WWE take him in newer directions? I wouldn't mind seeing something realistic like Eugene vs. Chuck Palumbo or Eugene vs. Garrison Cade(more likely considering last week).

I also think that during his segment on RAW when Rock asked who his favorite wrestler was and he said "Triple H!!" - I think that may be some foreshawdowing on WWE's part towards an eventual heel turn down the line. It would only take about two minutes - if even - to take Eugene and turn him. I'd go so far as to get his shortened or style it back and get rid of the beard and go full bore against Benoit after Summerslam. It's no secret that Hunter and Regal are very tight behind the scenes so a feud with Trip and Eugene with a dash of Regal on the side could be an entertaining little outing. Didn't the Hulkster wrestle his fair share of retards in his day? I mean what was Kamala? Or The Bezerker...go to wrestlecrap for more.

So what do you think W board - what's next for Master Eugene?

I say he'll probably face Cade like you said. As for HHH, I think Eugene will muster up the courage to finally talk to his hero then find out he's a total jerk(like they do on sitcoms). This might lead to Eugene facing Evolution members.

It would be pretty delightful if the HHH Water Bottle and HHH Is My Favorite Wrestler jokes were the earliest stages of a Eugene/Hunter angle. (cf. Stephanie having a crush on Kurt Cute as early as December 1999)

Then you can get the meeting, the HHH being a jerk, then maybe feeling kind of bad and sympathetic, psyche no he's not, he's totally mean. And Eugene challenging for the world title. (On Raw) (and losing) (despite one super false finish) (because seriously now.)

Ya, but that near fall is going to be sweet. If they can get the crowd really into it - which means Trip has to sell to a retard, and sell well. If they do the match really soon, maybe an HBK run-in would suffice and he could assist Eugene in getting a pinfall over Hunter.

Let's see...Eugene is only pretending to act like a retard, and uncle eric knows. Eric reveals his evil plan and gets uber-heel heat for him and Eugene...um he could also get knocked silly and be "normal" as been pointed out before. before how long does WWE fuck up this wonderfully done so far angle? ei The monster Kane, the nwo, etc...

Yeah he would definately lose, but if HHH really puts his efforts into the match, imagine how good it could be. Remember the back and forth mannerisms in the first Shelton match? I'd expect HHH to react the same way to Eugene's surprisingly competant skills. The start of the match could have HHH just playing with Eugene, and Eugene being elated to even be in the same ring as his favorite wrestler. Then, HHH gets more on the offense, but Eugene reversed and counters pretty much everything using various chain wrestling moves, continuously frustrating HHH. Then the first time he actually hits a real offensive move and puts the hurts on HHH, Eugene can act concerned, because hey who wants to hurt their favorite wrestler ever. Thats when HHH starts the beatdown, and the real fight begins. Cueing up the Regal turn during a HHH/Eugene match would only increase the heat not only for the match, but for Regal's face turn as well. The crowd would be so behind this match, that I hope WWE realizes how good it could be, and that they go ahead with a HHH/Eugene angle sooner than later, before the character becomes old and played out. Strike while the iron's hot.

As much as I wish HHH/Eugene would happen, I don't think we'll see this happen. First, I don't think HHH would let it happen. Second, I may be in the minority but I actually believe that HHH will take some time off after Badd Blood.

I think we will get Eugene/Regal vs. Bischoff/Nitro after Cade. Then Eugene will make either a heel turn or become non-retarded somehow.

It could be more entertaining if, when the eventual Evolution breakup occurs, Eugene were to save HHH from the ensuing beatdown from Orton & Batista (and maybe Flair). You could have HHH as a face who's constantly being ridiculed by his opponents for needing a retard to save him. HHH could eventually get sick of it and Eugene's annoying antics and turn on him, thus having HHH and Orton/Batista both as heels without being aligned.

And I think Regal's turn will come by stopping Coach from double teaming Eugene with Garrison Cade, probably next week.

I like the HHH idea, but it's the type of thing to book later down the road, especially when HHH has the title again.

I actually think the next step of character development for Eugene is to hook him up with Stacy Keibler (in response to Coach thinking that he could never get a girl). Sure, he doesn't need Stacy to be over (because he is), but it still shows some good continuity. Besides, Stacy's over enough that she should be doing something worthwhile on TV, and I'm sure Matt Hocking would be happy.

I thoughgt that was an awesome segment. I do think, Eugene will face HHH, but not for the title. HHH with the title is boring and one of the reasons Raw has been better is because HHH doesn't have the title and is almost out of contention for it. I also think if HHH doesn't have the title it will make it more believable that Eugene could win. Fans are savy to the stipulation matches and know when someone isn't going to win, see Foley/Orton, Backlash. It would be a great match and really add to the element of surprise if Eugene wins.

Anything that puts more Keilber on my TV would be totally welcome. I don't think it would work as a girlfriend angle... but more likely as a caring volunteer who wants to help take care of Eugene, like she's one of those girls with the compulsive babysitting gene.

Eugene's character, I think, depends on a childlike asexual innocence. He can have a mild crush on Stacy, or think she's pretty, but I don't think he can be dating her.

That's kind of what I mean. Have the most over diva on the roster be a friend to Eugene. Heck, he can even try to be friends with Trish, Trish says "Fat chance", puts down Eugene ala Coach, Stacy arrives and says, "Screw off, Trish". Works good for everyone's character, since as much as I like Trish, I still don't buy her as a heel.

Eugene could attempt to rape Keibler next time they are in Texas, and then the WWE could debate the entire "death penalty for retards in Texas" issue. Very cerebral stuff.

Then of course they should execute him and get his retarded ass off my TV.

I lived through 1986-94 already, I don't want to relive it again in 2004.

jjfc: "I don't think HHH would let it happen."

All booking roads lead to HHH.

MEWR: "I like the HHH idea, but it's the type of thing to book later down the road, especially when HHH has the title again."

That's what I meant. Way down the road in the fall.

IV: "having HHH and Orton/Batista both as heels without being aligned."

Err ... what's the point.

A Fan: "I also think if HHH doesn't have the title it will make it more believable that Eugene could win."

Probably, but I think Eugene going for the world title is more interesting, if a little ridiculous, and the nearfalls would mean a lot more. HHH shouldn't do a job to Eugene either way.

"Fans are savy to the stipulation matches and know when someone isn't going to win, see Foley/Orton"

That made the result of the match less compelling to the likes of me, but it didn't affect the crowd reaction, as they all believed pretty strongly that Foley could win.

The point is that Evolution will eventually break up, yet none of the members would make for good babyfaces without some serious character tweaking. Already having a history of turning, HHH would be the one least damaged by turning face and could generate some incredible heel heat by turning on Eugene. But it would only TRULY work if Eugene foreshadows it by mentioning Sting in a promo immediately before the match where HHH turns. Possibly even have Eugene paint his face for some reason.

I am much more intrigued by the possibility of Eugene being "normal" than the possibility of Triple H beating him up, or being nice to him and then beating him up again. Anything that makes Triple H the centerpiece has been done before and done to death. Eugene turning "normal", which could be done with simple body language, would create a riotus heel reaction and could make Nick Dinsmore's career if they handle it well.

I'd tell you to kiss my ass, but I don't want to get it infected.

Is there a reason they can't do both? There's no reason to turn Eugene heel for at least another 2 or 3 years. That leaves plenty of time for other storylines in the meantime.

I've been impressed by Dinsmore and Regal and how they have pulled off this angle so far. However, I think its a bit early to jump ahead from 1 TV match against Rob Conway and 1 TV spot opposite Coach to set up a Garrison Cade feud to Eugene vs. HHH for the World Title in a 2 out of 3 fall Hell In a Cell at Mania XXI. AT best, Eugene might be slightly above lower mid card right now. Now, when Sable taught the Oddities that they could be accepted and the crowd began to love them, were people clamoring that the Sable rub should put Golga in the main event of SummerSlam '98 vs. Austin? When Mick Foley gave Kurgann the rub by giving him money to invest, were people clamoring for the 5 year Reign of Kurgann? The 'alleged' rub this past Monday could also be a precursor to Eugene realizing he could put his 'special powers' to use by teaming up with Hurricane and Rosey.

Maybe this is foreshawdowing towards Eugene making a YJ Stinger "imitate your favorite wrestler" contest entry.

I think people are putting way too much emphasis on the HHH comment. For all we know, the comment from Eugene concerning Trips could have been merely conversational and for a reaction from the Rock, in which it served it's purpose. Some people would believe that Eugene's comment is a given for a future match...but I won't hold my breath.

Eugene said that that Triple H is his favorite wrestler because they both like to play games. Here in the IWC, we all heard that comment and snickered under our breath, or let out a huge laugh because we know the truth about Trips and the games he plays in the back. But for the most part, it was a comment because Eugene is a simpleton, and he likes to play games.
