...Jim Carey? Seriously, he had two really good seasons, won the Vezina trophy in the 1995-96 season, and he just plays badly for the next three seasons until he's no longer listed in Total Hockey. Did he retire? If he retired, what was the reason for it? Is he stuck in one of the lower minor leagues?
...Some fear the Pink... ...But many fear....THE MOUNTIE! (He's handsome, he's brave, and he's strong, you know)
I believe he's stuck in the minros somewhere. Some goalies don't last very long...teams will have like 20 plus forwards so they stick around but teams only dress 2 goalies a game....therefore those that fall back even one season tend to disappear.
According to hockeydb, his last stats came in the 98-98 season.
So I take it, he is retired.
Now he would only be 28 (or 28 in May), so I am thinking injury. I seem to recall him getting hurt is some way shape or form. Problem is that I can seem to find anything about that part of the story.
Holy hell, I completely forgot about that guy! He was amazing the one season he was on fire.
Now THERE is a true definition of one hit wonder in sports. I thought after Patrick Lalime started 15-0 or whatever it was a few years ago, and we didn't hear anything about him for awhile that he was going to suffer the same fate.
Trevor Kidd had a really good season in Carolina a few years ago - then suddenly he started to fall, and Irbe took his place. Any idea if Kidd's still in the NHL?
How can ANYONE not notice Kidd...he plays FOR the pnathers...and LOOKS like one too! That's gotta be the craziest haircut/goatee combination in all of hockey.
