This pretty much makes zero sense to me. I think their success last season was a bit of a fluke, and if he thinks he's going to be the difference that puts them over the top, I think he's kidding himself.

Tomlinson is pretty washed up, but he'll be playing behind the best run-blocking O-line in the league, rather than the most over-rated run blocking O-line (Vikings), so he'll look good in the twilight of his career (worked for Thomas Jones). Plus, if his concern is a ring, I'd say the Vikings are more likely to win the Super Bowl in 2010, but the Jets are more likely to win over the next three years due to their youth and upside.
It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects. "This topic is going to suck to read in three years." -Psycho Penguin "Well. Shit." -hansen9j
If Favre doesn't come back, the Vikings have no chance in 2010 either. So overall it looks like a good move for LT as he moves into the 'canny veteran' stage of his career.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- Orson Welles, The Third Man
LT doesn't have all that much left but he is going to a great run blocking offensive line. Sproles only averaged a 3.7 ypc with The Chargers last year to LT's 3.3 ypc which suggests The Chargers run blocking wasn't good. Hopefully Greene is for real because who knows about Leon and LT can't carry the load anymore.

Yet another example of a John Gruden coached team unable to properly run out the clock. Getting the ball at midfield with less than 2:30 to go and Indy having only 1 timeout and you have to kick the ball at the 2 minute warning.
