This here was the cover to Martin Hanford's zero-seller "Where's CRZ?" It was up a week later than normal since Aaron didn't seem to want to change logos while I was completely offline. While our RoadRunner was up pretty much the day after we moved into this place, getting actual COMPUTERS hooked up to THAT proved to take a while longer.
This one was the first one I saw in Minnesota and thought "hmm, that'd make a good logo."
I'll PROBABLY go back to using suggested logos by next week, unless something really catches my eye between now and then. For now, it's off to read the 1400 new messages in Wrestling - yeah, right. It really got stupid in here while I was gone, didn't it?
I hope you hired movers ... I recently moved and that was the best $$$ I could have spent.
You're a jive soul bro, a jive soul bro And you're always lyin' to you friends You're a jive soul bro, a jive soul bro And you'll never get nothin' in the end

I cheaped out and it almost backfired on me, since I ended up with friends of mine who couldn't come until a little later in the move thanks to work/doctor's appt (although to be fair, my one friend's wife is about 4 months pregnant).
But if they didn't come when they did, I'd be writing this post while in traction.
What we're all waiting pensively to hear: Did the records survive?
(Have you noticed that we're all more interested in the move than we are in the W o' the week? If we'd known you were so technologically deprived, we coulda loaned you a laptop!)
Well, to get off(on?)-topic, the W is obviously a trucking company logo. And, since I don't know any trucking companies up there, I'll just guess "West Star". ('Cuz of the star, you see.)
Anyway, congrats on the successful move. Enjoy the weather (although it actually gets warmer up there than it does here in the summer - I love the Great Lakes).
YOUR CONTINUED HERESY AGAINST THE WRESTLING GODS HAS DOOMED YOU TO SPEND ETERNITY WATCHING A MORDECAI VS. KENZO SUZUKI IRON-MAN MATCH (and Hiroko isn't at ringside for you to oogle).

Oh, naturlich...
We were told our stuff weighed 13,000 pounds all told. I'm pretty sure LPs only come out to about a ton (figuring 36 boxes @ 60# each) so I have no idea what weighed so much. Too many books, I guess. Anyway, it's 16 or 17 steps from the street to the house, and then another flight to our second floor, so you bet your butt we hired other people to schlep, and drive, and schlep. We saved our money by going PBO (packed by owner) the whole way and amazingly, it looks like the only casualty was a Pyrex pan of Kim's (which, of course, was good for a sliver in my thumb while cleaning it up).
Of course, I haven't opened a box of records (or CDs) yet and probably won't for a while. I am guessing they survived okay, though, judging by a single box of 45s that DID get unpacked (as they were thrown in with other stuff when I forgot to properly pack them last month).
Also, importantly, the berscanner still works! ...even though I haven't worn a tie since I've been out here. Maybe that'll change soon?
I'm sure I've seen that "W" before, and I'm pretty sure it was on a truck. I *was* positive it was from "Wilson", but after looking around for their site on the internet, now I'm not so sure.
It's Western Star Trucking, i believe they make trucks that are used as snow plows (most likely a foreign vehicle for many outside the northern half of the U.S.) and dumptrucks.
Why do people try to Irish Whip the Big Show? Don't they know it never works?
White-Western Star trucks were the primary brand used for hauling logs when I lived in Alaska. Haven't seen one in years, to the point I didn't even know they'd dropped "White" from the brand.
(Not sure why I bothered with the spoiler tags since it's already spoiled, but what the heck...)

Now that I'm in Minnesota, I'm guessing you'll get some of the ones I pick a lot faster.
I lifted the logo from this page (my.tbaytel.net).
