I just visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month and I have to say that Vince's honor is overdue, considering that stars have already been given to luminaries like Ryan Seacrest, Motley Crue, and The Rugrats (among others).
Press release aside, isn't this "honor" given to anyone with a modicum of fame, and the willingness to pony up the cash for (and attend) the ceremony? If you don't have something to plug when it happens, it's a pure ego stroke.
Fun fact: When it comes to the Walk of Fame, it's Martin Scorsese 1, Three-Six Mafia 0.
Per wiki, Vince will be the first pro wrestling "star" on the walk.. who do you think will make it happen next, Hogan or Rock?
Not that I disagree with the premise that the Hollywood Walk of Fame is simply a tourist trap where anyone who's ever had 15 minutes of fame and has money to burn can get their Very Own Star on the Walk of Fame...
But Christina Aguilera? Blech. And how come George Harrison is just now getting his own star?
The Westmores, of Star Trek: The Next Generation and beyond fame, are well-deserved, though.

Next to Martin Scorsese, Christina Aguilera is the LAST person mentioned in this thread I would say "blech" to. Perhaps you should hear her sing some time.
He came around when I was still barely in that age of "wow that guy is really big he can probably take anybody" stage of life. Now I'm starting to wonder if he was any better or worse than Khali. He was taller though wasn't he?
