I hate the Metrodome. I don't care if their payroll doubles with the new stadium, it will be worth it just to make them leave that nightmare house of horrors.
Do Fehr and Orza allow the Tigers to go to Chicago for the make-up game on Monday since the Tigers season should technically be over? Pretty good chance that .5 game is going to have to be determined one way or the other.
Tuesday night on FSN's post-game wrap-up was the first time in four months (I think) that I've heard them use the term "Piranahs" when describing the Twins. Honestly, it's the first time almost all season that they actually played like the "Piranahs" of last year. Amazingly, tho, I heard yesterday afternoon that the Twins this year have the third best season in franchise history for runs. Wtf? (and also something like second in the league this year. Double WTF?!?!?!)
Don't expect me to gloat about the last two wins. There's still four more games to go. Granted, the last two nights were GREAT baseball watching, especially Gomez's 9th inning nab of Pierzinski's outfield hit for the second out. How in the HELL did he make it across the field that fast?!?!?!?!

Carlos Gomez is going to be a monster eventually. He might be the best pure athlete in baseball, and I have come to believe they could play 6 infielders and just leave him in the OF and he'd cover it just fine.
Twins are at -140 tonight, and if I could I would bet my very soul on them.

Harrelson gave him almost no credit on it either - I think he mumbled 'fine play' a few seconds later.
Lots of runs for the Twins and few coming from the long ball. Very impressive.

Harrelson has spent the entire year talking up Carlos Gomez to the point where I half expect to find out that Carlos Gomez is Spanish for "Chuck Norris". I think by that point the ol' Hawkeroo was just ready to kill somebody.

Incredible comeback by the Twins. Their shaky bullpen manages to shut the door for 6 1/3 to keep them in the game. I'm sure Ozzie will have a fun presser. Bring on the Royals!
Man that third base ump was just beyond atrocious. Every time a call needed to be made he somehow missed it.
Oh well, have fun getting swept once again in the playoffs Minnesota. Your annual choke job is just slightly funnier than the Oakland choke job that we used to get every year. And oh yeah, enjoy your final year in the dome next year. In 2010 you get to become the Kansas City Royals but with shittier weather.

The last one was definitely a swing. Swisher just sucks.
Detroit will have to play the Sox if the deficit or lead is one half game.

I would love for the Tribe to be able to stick it to Chicago to make up for 2005.

Since it appears the White Sox/Tigers game is only going to be on WGN and not carried by Fox Sports Detroit, it won't be on the Extra Innings package. That sucks.

Oh, man, Darren Oliver. He's our problem now. I think that even if Rocker and Everett become best friends, it will make for great TV, because the press will ask all the same questions we're asking. And those two guys love the press.
