I don’t think we’ve had an Impact thread for a few weeks, so here’s the run down on the past few episodes:

3 weeks ago 1/30: MVP was revealed as the Mysterious Investor

2 weeks ago 2/6: A fairly boring episode, despite a lot of things happening on it. It revealed that MVP got the money to purchase TNA shares via a consortium of unnamed investors that he convinced to buy in with him. This episode was notable for Young unmasking Abyss, making him realize that he is indeed Joseph Park. DJ Zema Ion unsuccessfully cashed in his Feast or Fired X-Title shot on Austin Aries. Also, ECIII attacked Angle, putting Angle out of action for a couple of weeks.

1 week ago 2/13: Gunner and Storm defeated ECIII and Magnus in a match for control of both Gunner and ECIII’s Feast or Fired Briefcases. This upset the Bro-Mans, because they had a deal with ECIII for him to not cash it in for a long time. Also, Anderson defeated Ray in a casket match.

This week:
The relationship between Magnus as the dominant champion, Dixie as the incompetent villainess, ECIII as the hungry second in line to the thrown, and Spud as the happy flunky, continues to please me.

Magnus literally threw ECIII to the Wolves while escaping from the babyfaces. I hope this isn’t a setup for an ECIII babyface turn, since dueling heels is much more intriguing than the concept of Ethan as a hero at this point.

Roode’s split off from Dixieland, because Dixie failed to deliver on the world title match she promised him.

Samoa Joe defeated the Bro-Mans and DJ Zema when Joe made Zema Ion submit

Samuel Shaw got concerned about some tech guy being too friendly with Shaw’s ex-girlfriend, so Shaw stepped in as the gentleman that he is.

With Roode’s trust having been betrayed by Dixie, he reached an epiphany about how him turning on Storm must have hurt Storm’s feelings, so Roode sits down with James and apologizes to him. They then hug it out, and Storm gives Roode a peptalk.

MVP asks Aries to join team MVP at Lockdown in their match versus Dixieland for control of the company. They continue the subplot from last episode about moving flowerpots between Dixie and MVP’s side of the management office.

The announcers mention Rampage Jackson and King Mo being in action next week on Bellatore. I continue to wonder why King Mo matters on planet TNA.

Gail Kim w/ Lady Tap’a pinned Madison Rayne in a non-title streetfight

Meanwhile, Samuel Shaw is concerned about Mr. Anderson getting too close to Christy. Shaw has a good point. If Anderson and Christy spend too much time together, that would put Christy in danger from Anderson’s nemesis Bully Ray. Shaw better break up Anderson and Christy asap!

Throughout the show we’ve been seeing a series of hype videos for Gunner. Later on we got a couple for Magnus.

Gunner gives Storm the FOF Tag Team Title Shot briefcase. Storm talked about how great it felt to be the World Champion.

Bobby Roode attempts to retire. Dixie convinces him to captain her team at Lethal Lockdown instead. To get him to go along with that, she promises Roode 10% of the ownership of TNA if he wins.

Christy Hemme gets injured during a brawl between Shaw and Anderson. Shaw takes Christy away, presumably to get her medical aid.

Bad Influence wants to reform EGO with Roode and to join his team for the Lethal Lockdown match. (Apparently they broke up since Thanksgiving, by virtue of them not hanging out enough together?) Roode is all, this match is important so I can’t just choose my friends, and implies they need to beat the Wolves for him to let them join his team. Props to Roode for encouraging Bad Influence to get serious about winning.

The Wolves defeat Bad Influence

Shaw tells Christy that everything will be okay now, then he chases away the creepy cameraman.

Another psychedelic black and white hype video for goth poet clown Willow.

Give TNA this they've successfully made Joe a bad ass again as they've rebuilt him as he's destroyed everyone in his path the last month or so. That said, man did it make he tag champs look like a couple of jobbers. Wish Bad Influence were the tag champs and we'd get a 15-20 minute ppv match with them and The a Wolves. Bad Influence really has been depushed since Bischoff and Hogan left and that's sad because they were the highlight of every show. Roode and a Storm hugging it out and then a Storm turning heel could point to a Beer Money reunion hmm? Beer Money vs The Wolves would be awesome. Gunner vs Magnus was pretty solid and for the first time stunner showed we something. He showed great fire and carried his old in a solid match. Maybe there's hope for him? All in all much better show than the previous few weeks.

Magnus promo was great and I liked how MVP came across, always liked him in WWE and him playing the investor is a good move.

Main event was a solid TV match and I loved all the build up throughout the show. Gunner has a lot of potential if built right.

Joe looked awesome which I liked as he was one of the guys that got me into the company in the first place.

Bad Influence/Wolves was solid

Really liked the Samual Shaw character. Last time I saw him he was just a Gut Check winner, a much better character.

The Roode segment was the highlight of the show for me. He is an unbelievable talent and this segment showed it.

Overall I enjoyed the show and will definitely be trying to watch over the next few weeks

Every year there's a couple people who injury themselves so bad that they have to quit DwtS. If I remember right, Jericho messed up his back pretty bad and had to rehab it afterwards even though he didn't drop out from the show.
