Im a Raiders fan, and as much as I'de like to blame the officials it was the fans and McNair who beat the Raiders last night, and cause alot of the Raiders stupid mistakes. McNair always seems to show up in the Big games. He should have been league MVP last year, and if he keeps playing this way he should be a lock this year. I'm just hoping that the rematch, in the AFC Championship game, is in the Black Hole.
Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor, or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath, we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood, 'til it rains down from the skies. Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth, not to push the bounds and cross over, in to true corruption, into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish. Collin & Murphy MacManus
I think the Titans are the team to beat in the AFC this year.
That said, Oakland could've easily won this game had they (all together now) not made so many dumb penalties. That one lineman, Sims, had about a half-dozen false starts by halftime.

Come on now, Sims eventually stopped messing up and didn't get called for any more penalties after the first quarter. Must I also remind everyone that without that cheap "he was already jumping out of bounds before the Raiders pushed him" touchdown, the Raiders would have probably won the game. Don't go giving the Titans the AFC yet just because they get help from the officials last night.

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.
TS, the greatest Wiener rated 6.1554 ever to live!! Oops, I mean 5.5...4.5?? Oh, dammit! I guess Notorious FAB was right.
Ahhh...typical coming from a RAVENS fan. (I kid, I kid)
What more does he have to do?? He's taken the Titans to a super bowl and an AFC championship. It's HIS team, no doubt about it, and he just WINS football games. Check the QB ratings over the past couple of years...you might be surprised.

True, but he hasn't WON the Super Bowl(Did I mention the Ravens HAVE won a Super Bowl
Let's also remember this. He does not take hits well and has a propensity to get injured frequently. Of course, at least he gets up(Eddie George was never the same after that hit Ray Lewis leveled on him in the playoffs; he never did anythign against us since).
McNair is good. If I was starting an expansion team, I'd get him. But he is not the "franchise" quarterback that can carry a time. Foruntately for the Titants, the last three Super Bowl champs didn't have one either.
I think we'll just have to agree to disagree here, Grimis. You take McNair away from this team and you have NOTHING. Remember, we had NO pro-bowlers last year (Kevin Carter being a late addition because Fisher was the coach)...when was the last time a team with NO PRO-BOWLERS made the final 4??
McNair doesn't take hit well!?!?! WTF? ... let's see ... the guy gets injured, doesn't practice and still comes in and wins games ... I'd say that's taking hits well ...
I'll agree that Ray Lewis is one tough SOB ... too bad he can't run over Brian Billick ...

On a totally unrelated to the rest of the post note, Grimis, what'd you do with that Super Bowl QB again?
Bottom line is last year, McNair played with duct tape holding his body together, and he still managed to carry the Titans into the AFC Championship game. That's guts. Remember, injuries only count if you miss games. (Well, yeah, that's not true. But still... I think you get my point.) McNair just goes out and wins games; what's not to love about that? He's not flashy (like a Montana type), but he does exactly what has to be done to win games. I think it's been about 5 or 6 season since the Titans finished under .500. That's not a bad streak in the NFL (and I'm too lazy to look up comparison teams).

Lest we forget, that the Titans only made the Final 4 because of a Golden Globe winning performance by the great actor Joe Nedney.
Okay disgruntled Stillers fan rant over.
Anyway, I'm going to have to agree with Grimis that McNair is good, but not great. He might be the most versatile QB in the game, but he's not the league MVP by any stretch.
And Ray Lewis, yeah he's one tough son of a bitch...too bad it didn't help him on Sunday. ;-)
ahhh...why did they split up the Titans, Steelers, and Ravens again?? This is GREAT!
But I'm just gonna say you're wrong about McNair...and just to remind you, he came in third in the MVP voting last year, so please don't say "not an MVP by any stretch" because it's not by any means out of the question. I'm sorry you guys can't see it.
I've been on the Steve McNair bandwaggon since day 1, even when idiot fans in Tennessee were booing him and wishing for Neil Odonnell. He was always good, one of the smartest qb's in the league. He has never thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. He takes the blame when the team loses, and passes all credit to teammates when the Titans win. He never complained when Fisher had him hand the ball off to George and throw short passes to Wycheck for the first six years of his carear. His completion percentage rises almost every year. Till recently, he never had a number one type wideout yet still put up good numbers. He takes hits and gets up. He plays hurt nearly every week. His teammates respect him more than anyone on the team. Last year McNair really took off and became one of the top qb's in the league. He carried a 1-4 team with an injured/older Eddie George to the AFC championship. He was the only thing the Titans had last year. He has been to the Super Bowl and lead a drive equal to some of Monanta's. Eighty yars downfield with less than two minutes left and one timeout. Kevin Dyson isn't John Taylor or Jerry Rice, so no one really remembers this. He has been leading the Titans to late game winning drives for years now. He could have easily won the MVP last year, and looks even better this year. He truly is one of the top two or three QB's in the league, but no one outside of Nashville seems to notice. Honestly I don't think there is one player the Titans would rather have than McNair. He is the team. And the team is really good.
With a depleted linebacker corps.... the rams could use him in the middle. Big time. Just dont think they have the money... but you never know. I think he still has it.... looked good to me last season. But things change from season to season.
