Chester Taylor is signed with Chicago, ESPN is reporting.
Julius Peppers is expected to sign today, and Brandon Mauleamula has been signed.

Seems the Bears are getting VERY desperate to win NOW.

With Mauleamula signed, the Bears are expected to be shopping Greg Olsen around, since Martz offenses are better equipped for blocking tight ends. My only question is, who's going to be catching the ball? Who's going to play Bruce & Holt?

I hope the Bears get Bruce & Holt. :)

Peppers AND Urlacher? Wow.

Manumaleuna has been announced. Is there a link to the ESPN report?

They are talking about it right now on ESPN, not sure if there is a link or not.

EDIT: Here's a link.

Peppers deal is supposed to be $40million over the first 3 years of the deal.

Thanks.

Chicago sent its draft picks away for Jay Cutler and Gaines Adams, so they had to improve via free agency. And they have the cash to spend, so they are spending.

Good signings all the way around.

Wow, should be a tight race in the NFC North this year. Minnesota's the reigning champs, Chicago got a top player in Peppers. I hope that Green Bay can be in the discussion with those two, but I'm afraid that we'll do nothing and fall behind.

Not to mention the addition of Chester Taylor is also a big blow to Minnesota.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

Who do the Bears think they are, the Redskins?

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I'm glad someone other than the Pats took Peppers. The guy is crazy talented, but for the money he makes he disappears way to often.

Yeah, and if he disappears in a contract year, just imagine how unmotivated he might be sitting on a brand new contract (I assume he received some guaranteed money already).
