Hey, just thought since no one posted in the Wrestling forum, I'd go ahead and get the ball rolling with thoughts about HHH's return. I think it'll be a good thing, unless he comes back looking like Scott Steiner. He's a great wrestler to have in the main event. His return will no doubt also bring the return to Stephie-baby, and I mean, I miss her. Really, I do! She got tons of heel heat for herself and anyone associated with her. Personally, I think it would be better for HHH to dump her, and her to be align with JERICHO~! to give him the main event, restraunt quality uber-heel heat he's been lacking, then for HHH and Jericho to feud.
I don't think you have to worry about HHH being Roidzilla, seeing as we saw clips of him on TV for the last few weeks or so. He looks the same as before. Well, except for that injury thing. And that gaping hole he had in his leg for the surgery clip from his DESIRE™ promo.
...Some fear the Pink... ...But many fear....THE MOUNTIE! (He's handsome, he's brave, and he's strong, you know)
While i am certainly looking forwrd to the Game's comeback, I have to agrre that I do fear those long promos in Steph's nasal voice. Sopmeone on here once referred to it as the: Close your eyes and see if you still want me." voice or something close to that.
You know how she sounds in the ring doesn't sound like her when she's NOT in the ring(or backstage, or on WWF TV, you know what I mean, I hope). I cite the WWF version of The Weakest Link as evidence.

It will definitely be cool to see him back. Only if they have him as a tweener. But if they are doing the draft the same night as his return then it doesn't give in a chance to be that much of a tweener, maybe he will be a "free agent" for a month or so. Maybe until the Royal Rumble where he will cause Vince or Rik the match!!!!
OK maybe not, but speaking of Scott Steiner, I am sure he will be in the mix soon as well.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
I'm looking forward to Triple H's return. But I really wish they would have held back Stephanie's return a bit longer. I would have prefered the return of HHH to be 'triumphant return' as opposed to the 'Stephanie's revenge' angle that they seem to be leaning towards.
What I want to know is, who will he be feuding with? We already have Jericho and Van Dam, 'Taker and Show, Test and Rikishi, and Austin and Booker. That leaves Angle, Rock and Kane as the only main eventers left for him to feud with. And all three of those men have had issues with HHH in the past. Rock/HHH goes back to their midcard days. In addition to the love triangle, Angle's swerve cost Stephanie her livlihood as she lost ECW, and Kane beat HHH for the IC title.
Am I missing anybody? Or does anybody have any other ideas?
From "HHH coming back is good" to "I hope HHH dies" in two posts. That's gotta be some kind of record.
Yes, The Game is taken off pause next Monday - but will it be as a face, or will it be as a heel? THAT is the question I'D like answered. Will HHH go face when Rock and Austin already are? I tend to think not. But, Jericho's doing an awesome job as a heel champ, and with Taker and Angle on the Side Of Evil, maybe that's enough...but I tend to think Jericho needs juuuust a little more time to really solidify his heel status.
BUUUUTT.....
Have you noticed that Jericho's promos are basically saying "Hey, there's nobody left for me to beat!" Well, HHH is an awfully big somebody not in that list.
BUUUTTT....
There's a possibility Mr. Nash could show up on Monday, too! Maybe he goes heel while HHH goes face? Maybe they go heel together and back up Mr. Jericho? That'd be pretty darn cool....
Not only is Jericho playing the "I beat everyone" card, but even though Jericho didn't really cause it, the storyline is sitting there just begging for HHH to come and get his vengeance on Y2J for his injury. Combined with the "welcome back" face pop HHH would get, and the "Holy Crap! Welcome BACK!" face pop Nash would get, it doesn't look good for my hero. I'm saying HHH vs. Y2J for the belt at Feb. PPV. But then I'm still thinking WM ends up being some sort of weird multi-person main event (either a multi-man match or some sort of tourney)
No, Jericho didn't cause it but at the time HHH's injury happened, they can say it happened with the Walls of Jericho on the announce table, which most of us know it didn't but for the casual fan, they won't know the difference. HHH can blame Jericho almost ending his career and give Jericho hell all the way up to WM or at least No Way Out. But here is the way I can see it panning out:
Jan 7 - HHH and Nash show up on Raw and cut a hot promo and basically "declaring" their free agency.
Now, forward to the Rumble. Jericho retains against RVD with interference from both HHH and Nash. Jericho is confused as to what to do but is happy to be champ. The Rumble itself boasts probably the best talent ever in Nash, HHH, Austin, Rock, Taker, Kane. I say final 4 being Nash, HHH, Taker and Austin. Nash and HHH manage to eliminate Taker and Austin leaving those 2 alone. HHH, thinking that they will walk out Co-Winners gets double crossed by Nash ala WM4 and HHH vows revenge to Nash.
The following Raw, HHH jumps Nash by going through the crowd and beats the crap out of him and challenges to a match at SmackDown for the #1 contendership at WM18. SmackDown main event: HHH v. Nash. As good a match as you will see out Nash. Screwy ending as Jericho, knowing his reign is coming close to an end, takes both men out and we have a no contest, setting up a Triple Threat (ugh) at No Way Out.
No Way Out: match is dominated by HHH and Nash. Jericho looks to be on the losing end and is thrown outside the ring. Both Nash and HHH are battling it out when (get this) Scott Hall shows up!! HHH cowers in the corner like he is going to get whipped. Hall gives the Wolfpac sign to Nash and as he turns around. WHAM!!! Hall with a chair to the back!!! He has turned on Nash!! Jericho back into the ring and HHH covers for the title win!
Yeah, seems far fetched but hey, it sounds good on paper. Who knows? Maybe we will see some of this.

The problem with that plan is that, in those videos for Triple H to that U2 song, they spotlighted the moment his knee was hurt when he land on the floor.
Yes, yes. You correct on that. Damn, that kind of blows most of that booking right up in my face. I had forgot all about that part of the video. Hell, like I said, it looks good at first!

BucsFan: And exactly when has the WWF let small things like plot holes stop them if they get an idea in their head? Besides, IIRC, the moment they highlight takes place in the ring right after Jericho has pushed him towards the outside.
The year is young and the sample size is small, but this is my least favorite NXT show of the year. Probably the least entertained I've been watching this show in at least 6 months. They can't all be home runs, I get that.
