Sam Rockwell and the kid, Jacb Kogan carries this film from being a crappy 'The Good Son' clone to being on par with THE BAD SEED or THE OTHER. Seriously, this kid will make you not want to have children.
Seeing as it's only out in 6 theatres, I'm guessing most of you will have to see it on DVD.
This film also felt like it was edited down, there were quite a few odd cuts during scenes that made me think they had to cut the really disturbing stuff out, so it'll probably play better on DVD anyway.
Holy shit, this little bastard drives his mother insane, kills his grandmother, abuses his baby sister, AND gets his father arrested for shit he doesn't do.
The most disturbing bit was a scene made with a camcorder, showing just how sick the little fucker really is.
It may seem like I've given away alot about the film, but the real meat and potatoes is in the acting. Sam Rockwell totally deserves an award for this. You really see the pain and heartbreak he goes through.
Anyway, if you get the chance, go see it. It's fucking great!
I'm halfway through the season and I find both Gerald McRaney and Molly Parker's characters to be fascinating. Especially McRaney. The first season basically had Underwood manipulating and deceiving a lot of moralistic (or at least good deep-down)
