Michael Paszt from Super Luchas Magazine wrote about a rumor that involve the creation of a New Version of the D Generation X concept with the leadership of Shawn Michaels to face the HHH's Evolution...
Can it be possible? Some time a go could it be more than real, but know with HBK focused in religion could it be a little more difficult...
Anyway, in the WWE world everything its possible...
It'd be pretty interesting to see how they'd pull it off, because in 2002 when HHH and HBK did the one-night reunion, the shirts they were wearing didn't have "Two Words: Suck It" on the back... anyways, I don't see it happening, and for good reason. The HHH/HBK/Chyna/Rude version of DX was pretty entertaining aside from really gay stuff between Helmsley and Michaels. The post-HBK version was pretty good too, with the WCW invasion and the Nation/Corporation parodies. But then it just fizzled out in 1999, especially when Triple H and Chyna left the group. The 2000 (I think) incarnation wasn't really that good, because Triple H had moved on to being a dominant champion, and DX was just a part of the McMahon-Helmsley faction. I'd rather they go with something fresh if HHH and HBK somehow did become allies again, instead of bringing back a group concept that both men moved on from years ago.
If they do decide to give HBK a faction to go up against HHH and Evolution, HBK's group has to be called "Creation". It's funny on so many levels. (At least two.)
Not gonna happen. No shot. HHH is the champ, and well, Evolution fits him twenty times better as the champ than DX would.
Fans would be like, ummm WTF?? If they tried to pull it off after Summer 2002.
Methinks Shawn's career is going to fade out after WMXX, but that is just me...
"Huard, gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone...it is INTERCEPTED INTERCEPTED, THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35, the 40. Kenny Wheaton's gonna score! Kenny Wheaton is gonna score! 20, the 10, Touchdown! Kenny Wheaton on the interception, the most incredible finish to the football game!" www.eatmyassbeavernation.com

So how does that somehow prevent him from feuding with DX?

What do you mean how does that prevent him from feuding with DX? There IS no more DX. Do you mean HBK, or am I just being stupid to not interpret your response correct?
I agree with ShotGunShep, with HHH's attitude, the whole Evolution thing just works better. Of course, DX will ALWAYS be better than Evolution.
Old Age and Treachery will overcome Youth and Skill.
You know, it would be theoretically possible to create a group called D-X, and not have Triple H as a member. You know, Shawn Michael's DX vs. Triple H's Evolution. You know, as the rumor dr. wagner posted suggests. I think that's the point Inverse was trying to get at.
Everything that is wrong in this world can be blamed on Freddie Prinze Jr.

Right, Evolution certainly works better than DX with HHH's current character at the helm. But this entire thread was talking about Shawn Michaels starting a brand new version of DX to feud with HHH, so that particular point isn't relevant.
My biggest problem with it is that DX was always supposed to be the hip, anti-authority figure and Shawn Michaels has lost whatever "youthful coolness" he may have had left 5 or 6 years ago. If they were going to do it as DX, they'd have to pick new members who could give it a life of it's own (Christian comes to mind, though he's on the wrong side) while Michaels sort of stayed in the background as the inspirational leader. And there's about as much chance of Shawn Michaels standing in the background as there is of Steve Austin going a whole show sober.

lol ya what was that dude thinking....hehe. but ya i agree DX was cool cause it was new and the guys were fairly young, But now it just wont work with Shawn, he is losing his hair if anyone noticed.
Anyways, I agree with u inverse. DX 2 just wont WORK with shawn micheals. In fact, I dont think ANYONE could do a DX 2. DX was one of those one time classics that can't be repeated.

I have to agree with Inverse that HBK is the young cool guy he once was. I'm not sure who else would fit in either. I guess Christian (who have to turn face), Edge (who would have switch brands), and Jericho could play the youthful fun loving guys, but they're still not quite degenerate, rule breaking guys. Not that I would complain about a HBK/Edge/Jericho/Christian stable.
Personally I'd like to see a double turn at WM with a HBK/Triple H led stable (not necessarily DX) against a Flair/Benoit led stable (not necessarily the 4 Horsemen)
While I would love to see the old DX shirts on TV again, I doubt DXver2.0 would work. This isn't the attitude era anymore. DX was a great concept at the time, and it was a major componant in the WWF's turnaround, but I would have to doubt how well it would go over now.
Thinking about the one night DX reunion, I found it odd that when Triple H started the "Let's Get Ready To S*ck It" line, Shawn Michaels wasn't in the position for the crotch chop; he instead looked like he was doing the the nWo fingerpointing thing.
I will admit, however, I would mark out for a two man resurrection of DX, with HBK and Triple H, coinciding with a tag title run. Just don't add anyone to it, it wouldn't work.
SD2: April, Year 3; what's the point to the Career mode, anyhow? FF7: Disc 1; 18h into game; At the old Mako Reactor outside Nimelheim (again). FF8: Disc 1; 1h into game; back at the beginning again
the dx version without HBK was the memorable one in my view. As good as the HBK/HHH/CHYNA/RUDE faction was, DX wasn't truly "cool" untill after HBK left.
I agree that seeing DX shirts and all that would be fun, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
If you had something like that with Jericho as the leader and Michaels in the mentor-type role, maybe it could work. The trouble would be finding a couple of other people who would fit in with the concept....

AWESOME. Let's do it!!
But really . . .
Look, DX worked ONLY because it pushed the envelope. There is *no where* left to push the envelope anymore. DX would lose all its potency in contemporary WWE.
Besides, the entire direction of the company is moving back in the other direction right now . . . (safer in-ring style . . . more traditional wrestling, generally losing the "attitude era" feel etc . . . ) A return of DX would be counter-productive, IMO. It's a cycle - someday in a few years we'll be back to a completely-"non attitude" version of WWE and then it may be time to push the envelope again, but for now it's just not appropriate.
And even when it's time to push the envelope again . . . even then, i really hate reincarnations of old stables. They're always dissapointing.

Bradshaw would be right up there as an elite Horseman with the likes of Paul Roma and Steve McMichael.
Jericho/HBK/Orton and Matt Freakin Hardy is your money group.
think along the lines of HBK tutoring Matt Hardy and Jericho tutoring Orton. Counter-Evolution
This is based on Orton doing something like properly ending Mick Foleys run and claiming he truly retired Mick, not HHH. Thereby HHH kicking him out of Evo. and Orton linking up with a group of tweeners led by Face Shawn.
Three oinkers wearing pants, a plate of hot air, a basket of grandma's breakfast and change a bull to a gill, got it.
So what we've learned is that Canadians love Brodus Clay. I will guess the dark match dude was ROMAN Reigns, the former Leakee of FCW/NXT. He's an Anoa'i (uncle Afa, father Sika, much older brother Rosey)
