One final detour before we get back to Alexandria full-time (presumably) for the last two episodes of the front half of season 6.
Assuming the folks who ambushed Daryl, Sasha and Abraham at the beginning were from the same group that was later hunting for the three strangers that took Daryl prisoner, it looks like we're dealing with someone other than the Wolves.
I'm assuming the two surviving strangers are decent people who would've fit in well enough with the larger group. I mean, they *did* answer the Rick questions appropriately. Hey, you passed the test, so come with me and live with our group. As if the trust issue was a one-way street. But guess what, Daryl didn't pass their test. It ain't right that Daryl is without his crossbow or bike, but if I was in their shoes, I believe I would've reacted similarly.
Talking Dead alluded to who these guys might be. Its Glenn at the end, right? The couple and their kid sister were shady all the way around. Daryl has perhaps gotten too pussy whipped by everyone. That was the message of the story. Old Daryl would have left them to die and then killed Wade when he was in the woods. There is no rewarding good behavior in this world. The world does reward you for going batshit crazy with rocket launchers and sweet cigars.
I think the Coors stuff started in either Season 4 or 5. I ended up watching the whole series on DVD over the course of a couple weekends, so the whole thing kind of runs together.
