They went into Detroit and took two games from the Red Wings! Just won 5-2 tonight. I can't see things getting any easier for the Wings in Vancouver-long journey, tired legs, etc.
If the Wings get eliminated, the Stanley Cup's definitely up for grabs.
in my beloved wings' defense, that traitor hasek couldn't be playing any worse. all i want is for the wings to win the cup and have hasek retire. is that too much to ask? i can also guess that mr. osgood is smiling right about now.
Marge: Mr. Scorpio, this house is almost too good for us. I keep expecting to get the bums rush. Scorpio: We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own pace.
I doubt that Osgood is smiling at all down 2-0 to the Leafs - Not surprising to see the Canuckleheads win 2 in Hockeytown considering how they finished the season - I see this series going 7 with Vancouver losing a heartbreaker - Detroit will be gone after Round 2

i wasn't referring to osgood's smiling being related to the isles situation. i was talking about how he always got blamed, was considered the wings weak link, and that after acquiring hasek, detroit's goaltending would no longer be in question. if the wings do happen to advance, i certainly don't see either chicago or the blues beating them.

Here in the real Hockeytown, I think Osgood looked good-of the 5 goals Toronto has scored, 2 were empty net, and one was a re-direct off a defenseman's skate. The issue is Peca, Parrish, Yashin et al haven't been holding up their end. I think the Leafs-Isles series is a lot closer than a 2-0 lead for Toronto, and I fear that things might turn the other way tomorrow on the Island.
Speaking of not scoring, I'm watching Philly-Ottawa right now. Zzzzzzzzzzz.....
If it weren't for empty net goals no one would be scoring in that Philly-Ottawa series.
Toronto should go up 3-0 in this series as the fishstix will be tight in their first home playoff game in god knows how long. Osgood may be smiling about the Red Wings now but if fishstix lose the next one than it may be the red wings fans who will be smiling and saying - see, he really does suck.

I cannot believe how pathetic the Flyers are playing. It is hard to believe that this team scored 99 points during the regular season.
Hopefully, this spells the end of Bill Barber and Bobby Clarke. There needs to be a salary dump in the offseason with the dead weight let go.
This entire thing we're involved with called the world is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be. Life is a matter of a miracle that is collected over time by moments flabbergasted to be in each others' presence. The world is an exam, to see if we can rise into the direct experiences. Our eyesight is here as a test, to see if we can see beyond it. Matter is here as a test for our curiosity. Doubt is here as an exam for our vitality.
I guess this means another $9 million season of disappointment. They should just buy him out of the contract and cut him. It would save us the pain of watching him try to play.
