So how is the brand extension going to affect the Royal Rumble? Will there be two world title matches on the undercard, or is only one brand going to appear in the Rumble match itself?
The logical thing would be to have 13 Raw guys, 13 Smackdown guys (the brands could have qualifying matches between guys to fill the 13 spots) and 4 wild cards that would include the OVW "Run to the Rumble" winner, two old guys that might be good surprises and....Stone Cold?
Another idea might be to have one brand (RAW?) have their world title be up for grabs in the Rumble. That would set up the Lesner vs. Big Show WWE title rematch at the Rumble.
I was born in a manger, like that other guy. You know, he wore a hat?
I think WWE's seeing $$$ for the Royal Rumble. There are a lot of guys who are on the shelf who can return during the rumble match, including:
Undertaker Rhyno Kanyon Rey Mysterio Mark Henry (ok, so they can't ALL be welcome additions)
Add that to the potential list of guys who can win, like Scott Steiner, Brock Lesnar, or Kurt Angle along with good performances from guys like Edge, Jericho, Booker, RVD, Los Guerreros, Matt Hardy, Benoit, etc. plus the potential surprise entry of Steve Austin and a possible breakout performance from OVW's Damaja and this has the potential to be one of the best Rumbles in years.
Of course with guys like Albert, Bill DeMott, Rikishi, 3 Minute Warning, etc., this could also has "bowling show tendencies" (tm JR).
But the brand extension could make this whole thing a bitch to set up.

Hail the man who fought Vince McMahon and won! Hail the man who dared to stand up against shitty booking! Hail the man who stood by his principles! Hail the conquering hero! Stone Cold is coming!
Maybe they can have 15 guys from each brand, and the winner of the Rumble gets a guarnateed shot at that brands' championship? Or if a Raw guy wins, he gets a Smackdown contract and a shot at the WWE Title.
I can't imagine the main event of WrestleMania won't be for the WWE Title. But who knows?
I hope they don't change the Rumble rules (two winners, two rings, 20 guys instead of th 30) to accomodate this brand extension. The brand extension has already messed up some of my favorite parts of the WWE (no more IC belt, for instance).
You know, I would love to see Angle vs. Brock at WrestleMania, but they're not going to do it. These are the same geniuses who think that a Rey Mysterio vs. Albert feud is gonna be a winner.

Funny, I thought it was Edge vs. Albert... silly me, I must have thought Rey was gonna be out for a month or two.
(Yes, I know most of you think that either way it's gonna blow, the point is that the feud just started, so there's no point in labelling it a failure already!)
As far as the Rumble goes, I really don't know what they're gonna do, I'm just looking forward to finally seeing Damaja.

They could go for some 1992 magic by vacating the Raw Championship and having the Royal Rumble for THAT, along with a Lesnar/Show rematch or something along those lines.
My logic: they're gonna shitcan the brand extention. It's a good idea, but the Undisputed Championship had a better niche. So...have the World Champion Triple H (assuming he beats HBK at Armageddon) put up his title against the Rumble winner. The Big Show challenges ANYBODY at the Rumble, and Kurt Angle wins the WWF Championship. But...he's already in the Rumble. So, he enters (duh) and wins, setting up Angle/HHH for the One Unified Undisputed Unbreakable Championship of the World.

BTW, here's a question about the possible surprise entries for the Rumble....when are people getting back from injury? Will Rhyno be healthy? Kanyon? Rey Mysterio?

Kanyon's good to go, but I have no clue about Rey or Rhyno. That's at just about the right time frame though, so who knows?
RAW Satire 12/9 Vikings (3-10) -You've got to play, you know, both halves. Badgers (7-6) - The Alamo Bowl? Oh boy? Buffy 7.Blah Ah, the long stretch of bordem between new episodes...
Heh heh... hey, how do I sign up for goreing duty? That sounds like fun, actually.
I'm not sure I like the idea of setting up a Triple H/Angle match for the Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble, because we all know who's winning that match. And hint-- it ain't gonna be the guy who won all the positive RSPW awards this year, it's gonna be the guy who won all the negative ones.
And the year-long Triple H push continues... and the band plays on... and everybody grabs their ears because they can't take it anymore.

Could there possibly be TWO Royal Rumbles, one each for Smackdown and Raw on the card? Raw has enough guys for one, but I dunno about Smackdown.

Take two out for whoever is champ and whoever they are facing and then pick 15. A fifteen person rumble would be pretty cool.
You know, I would rather pay money to see HHH fight The Hurricane than see him go against Kane or HBK or Austin again. Remember his match with TAKA a few years back? I know I for on ethought at one point that TAKA was going to win. That was a real good match.
And they do not have to have the winner get a PPV. Maybe a RAW ME. Wouldn't you love to see Tajiri come out to face HHH for the title. Even thought you know he would lose (or would he?), would it be refreshing?
And so, how about having Tajiri win, and have a mini fued with HHH until the next PPV? Wouldn't that get you to tune into RAW each week.
I know this is a fantasy, but hey, a guy can dream!
30 men in the Royal Rumble (15 from RAW, 15 from SmackDown); winner enters Triple Threat Main Event at WrestleMania between Rumble Winner, WWE Champion & World Champion Winner could win the title of the man he pinned OR the Undisputed Championship (reunifying it...again).

Hardcore Holly is out until next year with a neck injury.
You forgot Rikishi, Billy Kidman, Bill DeMott, Nunzio, B-Squared, Funaki and Shannon Moore. Possibly the Rock, too.
