The ratings for these games are going to tank. Overtime football, extra innings baseball and sudden death hockey are the three greatest things in all of sport, and this series should provide some great drama. I'll tak the Ducks in 7 with all of the Ducks wins coming at least 2 OTs in.

As of Monday, May 9 at 1:14 PM, the Boston Red Sox' Magic Number to clinch the AL East is 135. A combination of 135 Red Sox wins and New York Yankees losses will guarantee the AL East for the Boston Red Sox.

I think they're already in the toilet. NJ/Ottawa Game 7 did a 0.7 for ESPN, according to what I read.
Martin Brodeur's wife has filed for divorce so he's got some off-ice distractions.
Sooooooooo... Devils in 5.
this year there's going to be a double sized party in the Meadowlands parking lot for the championships of the Devils and the Nets. Who needs a parade? They are over-rated anyway.
Go Devils! Rangers SUCK! (flyers too)
'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' Diomedes, The Iliad of Homer
The Devils just totally decimated Anaheim in Game 1. Unreal. Let's hope the Ducks were just rusty, or we'll have to put up with ANOTHER Cup for NJ.

Experience trumps youth, yet again. It would take a (pardon the cliche) Disney-esque miracle for the Ducks to win this series.

"America may have some problems, but it's our home. Our team. And if you don't wanna root for your team...then you should get the hell out of the stadium. Go America."--Stan Marsh, South Park
Helluva ending to Game 3, n'est pas? And thank you ever so much, ABC, for the mandatory video fellatio post-victory shot of Michael Eisner...wiping his damn nose.
So the Ducks are back in this thing, down 2-1...perhaps there's hope yet for Emilio Estevez to join Anaheim on the ice for the post-Cup "We're going to Disney World!" spot.
Unless God is a just god, anyway. :-)
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy. . . THE THRILL ACW-NWA Wisconsin Home Video Technical Director...& A2NWO 4 Life!
Holy cow, that "goal" that put the Ducks up 2-1 was the worst/funniest thing I've ever seen. Poor Brodeur...that probably cost NJ the game.

I hear that the devils may have a scheduling conflict with the Bergen County Flea Market over use of the parking lot for a parade.....guess they could always parade through Moonachie.....
Ducks 2-1 in OT tonight in Game 4 - Brodeur drops to 8-18 lifetime in OT

Well, 1-0 in OT is close enough...good call. I had a feeling it might be Stumpy scoring the goal when he was interviewed just before the overtime. That guy has 15 OT goals in his career-just amazing.
Barely even had time to sit down on the couch before that OT goal was scored. (I'm so used to most games being shown on cable, didn't realize it was on ABC until 5 minutes left in the third.) 29 seconds in, not bad. J.S. now has 1 less playoff win in his first playoffs than Brodeur has over how many?
Brodeur almost let in another soft/fluke goal last night - good thing for the devils that Game 5 is in the swamp - the Quack Attack has confidence now and it would not surprise me to see them win it in 6 - that said however, my Game 5 prediction is (and I hope I am massively wrong) -
devils 3 Ducks 1 - third devils goal is an empty netter
5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time Wiener of the Day Runner-up
Ducks! The Ducks! Go Ducks! Paul Kariya is finally alive! Stevie Rucchin, who went to my university! 5-2! Bring on Game 7! QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!

I think that Giggy has one more monster game left in him this year, and there's no time like the present.
That said, with the way that this playoff season has gone, there's only one way that this game and this season can end... overtime.
Ducks 2, Devils 1, with an Esposito-style garbage goal as the clincher.
