After going almost six weeks and pitching like a man 15 years younger, did anyone really expect Roger to be this good? I expected him to be good, especially switching leagues for the first time. But to have an infintesimal e.r.a. and no loses, I bow before his greatness.
I figured he'd be good early, its later in the season when I think he'll lose it a little bit.

Not necessarily; part of Rocket's contract says that he doesn't have to travel on the road to games when he's not scheduled to start. That's going to give him a lot more relaxed time and should help ease the burden on an aging body. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, a lot of people made the same argument when he started hot his first season in Toronto, and we all know how that turned out.
The Toronto Maple Leafs: Hockey's equivalent of the Chicago Cubs, but easier to hate.

The only problem I see is once he's through the league once, hitters may have a clue.
That really didn't help the American League very much. When you are this dominant it doesn't matter how many times a batter has faced you. Obviously he won't keep his era this low all season but I could see him winning 18-20 games.

His first season in TO was the first year he really dedicated himself to conditioning. Those last couple of years in Boston he was fat, (injured), and horrible.

Yet well above the league average for a starter, except '93 when he was merely above average and missed a few starts. He certainly wasn't the Rocket of '86-'92 in the last three years of his Boston days, but "horrible" is a bit much. His worst year was actually his first with the Yankees.
Clemens is far and away my favorite player of all time...mainly because of his attitude. Yeah, maybe he's a "jackass" but I would love to have a guy with that mentality on my team. I loved the Piazza feud and I think he's said a lot to his detractors by playing in the NL this season. When he threw the bat at Piazza, it wasn't classy or anything like that, but it showed his intensity, his "bulldog-mentality" and I would much rather have my guy a little less classy and a little more intense if I'm looking for a big win.
I'm so pumped that he's having a great year and I hope it continues, though I'm not a big Astros fan.
The crazy thing is how good the pitching has been considering Scott Kazmir didn't even play the first month. So it's like they just added an ace a little over a week ago. I'm not THAT surprised though.
