Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad directed this episode so was Creed's hat and sunglasses a wink at Heisenberg?? I guess their plan to make us feel badly for Nellie is working. Andy is starting to bug me with his constant insults towards Nellie. And I lol'ed at Andy's "How are you not murdered every hour, Tobey?" line. Now that I think about it, I really hated Tobey(the showrunner) and him inserting Catherine Tate on the show after Florida last season so maybe they are in the doghouse and are getting buried.
Originally posted by Leroy I really think they're heading towards a Jim/Pam thing with Plop and Erin.
Yeah, Andy is totally oblivious New Jim is hitting on his chick. I mean, he speaks Dothraki and took her out to eat while dumbass Andy was busy fake-auditioning for a TV role. They are giving Andy all these Michael Scott gimmicks now, too, like hatred of Tobey and calling meetings for no reason at all (last week was the family tree/slave owners). I'm glad Darrell finally got tired of this crap when he was talking to Jim about finding something better. It only took 9 seasons.
During the Oscar/Kevin pie in the face gag, you also saw Pete and Erin chatting with each other in the background. It was a subtle detail and there's little doubt that the show will end with the 'new Jim' together with the new receptionist.
Creed getting picked up by the work bus was one of the all-time funniest Creed bits, which is saying something.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
I love the show! I also started watching because of my love of Buffy/Angel. I think it's smart enough and tongue and cheek enough to not be associated with the CSI craze. I haven't watched last night yet....
