So you want season tickets for the NY Giants ? Well you can go to www.giants.com and put your name on "The List" and according to this article (nj.com) you should get them somewhere around the year 2254.

It makes me wonder how long the wait is for Packers tix...

I remember reading somewhere a few years ago that both the Packers and Redskins were in 30-40 year territory, but I'm not certain if they have the internet option that the Giants do.

Well, the Packers list contains something in excess of 50000 names the last I had heard. In any given year (over the last dozen or so), there have been no more than 100 tickets turned in. Each name on the list is able to claim 4 (I THINK) tickets when their turn comes up.

According to my math, that gives the 50,000th person a 2000 year wait for tickets.

People put their Steelers season tickets in their wills and people have been known to trade property or huge things of cash after the will readings. I love this city.

I recall hearing three or four years ago that the Jets were considering charging a $30 annual administration fee just to stay on the waiting list. By Grimis' Packers/Skins figures and considering foregone interest, that'd be thousands of dollars spent just for the right to buy tickets a couple generations down the line. Amazing.

The Jets charge $50 a year (caps at $500) to stay on the list. The money is ultimately applied to the cost of your tickets once you get them. As the article says, this policy caused a lot of people to drop off the list for Jets tix.

Catch The Thrill on "Pick of the Week": taped Tuesdays at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI; on the air Sundays @ 1 am on WB-14!

I'm around 14,000-something on the Packer list. Every so often, I get a postcard from the Packer ticket office reminding me as such.

I don't think I've made much headway in the 10 years or so I've been on there...but there was a huge jump in applicants after me, once the Pack stopped playing at County Stadium in Milwaukee after the 1994 season.

I think I like freelance shooting at Lambeau better...I'm on the f'n field, and I get paid. Sweet.

(EDIT: Oh, and Super Shane Spear: That would explain why 20,000 or so Packer fans showed up for the GB/Arz game in 2000 @ Sun Devil Stadium. Hell, even Leroy Butler congratulated some end zone cheeseheads for making the trip. Of course, they could've been snowbirds what relocated to Arizona...whatever.) :-)

Let me see: According to what I told http://www.southendzone.com/packerg/tickets/ , I signed up for Packer's tickets August 1998 (when I was 15). I have the postcards from the Packers from the last couple years.
2001: 41,277
2002: 39,382
2003: 38,579
2004: 38,151

So yeah, Thrill, I signed up something like 4 years after you did, and I'm 24,000 behind.

So if it averages 1,000 per year, I'll get my tickets in 38 years, when I'm 59 years old. If it averages 600 tickets (like it has the last two years), then it will take 63 years to get tickets, and I'll be 84 years old.

Most likely I'll be dead before my name comes up either way.

NOTE: The above post makes no sense. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hey, at least Ken Dilger said "Illinois". I don't remember anyone saying "Indiana University." And did Napoleon Harris really say "Dixmoor University"? No love for Northwestern.
