After lots of wasted time over the past two days, my last massive scripting project is complete, tested, and UP!
Changes to the board:
Post numbers in threads added
"Next" and "Prev" page links added
This is the biggie, so let's drop out of this list...
THERE IS NOW THE ABILITY TO *ONLY* DISPLAY NEW POSTS IN A THREAD!!!!!!!
If you click on "Edit Profile" and move down to the bottom, you will see a new radio button pair - "Show all posts" or "Show new posts" In case this isn't explanatory enough, "Show all posts" will show ALL the bits of a particular thread. "Show new posts" will ONLY show posts that have been added to the board after the LAST time you clicked on "Mark Forum Read" (or, if you're a guest, posts added in the last hour [I think - ah hell, just register already])
This was the one thing Delphi had that I really really missed on ezboard - and, shock and horror, I was actually able to learn enough PHP to replicate that function. Yeeha!
You're all toggled for "Show all posts" right now, keep in mind - if you want to switch, you're an "Edit profile" away!
If you DO toggle, I recommend setting your "posts per page" value to an arbitrarily high number (I use 100) because if you're only displaying new, you probably won't need to break the thread into as many pages.
Experiment and see what you like. It's MY - I mean YOUR board! ;-)

I gotta say, Chris, that adding the numbers of the posts is especially helpful. BUT, being able to just look at new posts is OUTSTANDING. With the volume this board has gotten since the official opening, that makes it much easier to weed through the missives and read what you want.
