Finally, we have The Cleveland Show, which really didn't have to do much to outdo FG this week. It actually had me at the musical number, which was pretty good.
That led into the cliche Civil War re-enactment, which is usually good for an easy laugh. This is where having three shows is a bit of a hindrance, because American Dad did the war re-enactment thing SO much better not too long ago. Not that this didn't have its moments, though.
This one was all over the place for me. They introduced Aaron "from work" and then didn't do anything with him, which seemed random for the sake of randomness. They seemed to relish the racism stuff (and were sure to slip in a now by-the-numbers anti-Semitic line) and the Ken Burns style Civil War letters bit didn't work for me. Oh, and the casually swearing mayor was more of the pointless envelope pushing. Hmmm, now that I think about it, this show was worse than I thought it was!

When you put it like that, I have to agree with you. Family guy was such a mess that this probably seemed more enjoyable at the time.
