WWE has signed Gangrel to a contract, however, he has been down in Ohio Valley Wrestling training for his TV comeback. There is no word on when we'll see Gangrel, but it's thought that injury is the reason we've yet to see him on TV.
I know he was back before for those 2 shows on Smackdown, but I always liked him. He has the best ring entrances ever with the circle of flames and that theme song. I wonder what they will do with him or will he just continue to be a jobber ala Val Venis/Steven Richards?

Agreed. His entrance was 12 kinds of awesome.
I think he will be back in the same spot he was before: lower to mid-card, not much of a jobber but not a real force either. It's a good move, in my view, because he is a decent worker. Where will he end up?
A new Brood/Raven Flock type group wouldn't be a bad idea to bring in some new guys to the WWE main roster. I hope it happens though it is the WWE and it might be a been there done that story.
Fear Prophet.

We know...we know. Even with his limited wrestling skills, Gangrel's character is ten times more interesting than either of those guys you mentioned. And I would also like to see Gangrel's entrance back in the WWE moreso than blasts of air simulating a locomotive.

The real question is, will this be the return of the bloodbath?
Geez, I hope not. Those VinnyRu* bloodbaths were LAME. I don't think the Brood should come back per se. I think it would be limiting to Christian and Edge. There should be some continuity acknowledgments. Like them seeing Gangrel back stage and be entranced "Father? (or Uncle?) You're back?!" and he just flashes a toothy grin and then forms The Brood V3.0 (V2.0 was the Hardy Boyz and that's where they started the "Guns to the temples" finger poses).
Question. What young Tag Team could he mentor? Those new Stripper dudes? Just goth them up a bit and they might just get over.
I'm excited. All I need is Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki (KAI EN TAI!) on Smackdown! and I'll be a happy fan.
*The reason I think it was a Russo idea is because it was one of the MANY angles that were never explained. Who setup the bloodbath? What was the point? Who raised the briefcase? Why did Mae Young give birth to a fake hand? And so on.

I dont think Albert/A-Train ever interested me. He was never cool. He was never in a good program with anyone. His face run with Scotty 2 Hotty was horrible. The only thing that got the crowd into him was the SHAVE YOUR BACK chants.
I kinda miss Sean Stasiak. I got a kick out of his "idiot" gimmick where he'd try to sneak attack someone and run into random doors/walls/whatever. But, if I never see A-Train again, I'll be happy.
The Big Bossman raised the briefcase. How many times does it need to be said?
As for Gangrel, on one hand I have a soft spot for the guy ... on the other hand, there ain't much to him but a terrific entrance. Certainly I can't think back and remember any great Gangrel matches, or classic promos.

Well there was the time when the Hardyz and Edge & Christian had just finished the Terri Invitational Tournament and he said something about scoring with her all night only to have them all start beating him down.

I mean, try to look at it from my perspective. What can of man of my word would I be if I DIDN'T ban you?

To be fair, it's not as if he was evern given any particularly meaningful matches or angles where he had a shot to pull these off. Would he have? Probably not. But don't mistake the guy's slot on the card for his ability.
Gangrel's not likely to put on a string of ***** matches, but he's a recognizable face with a character who is servicable in the ring. As KaneRobot said, that's more than you can say for a number of guys they're using, and besides that it's not as if either show's roster is especially deep. Each show could use 6-8 more usable guys if only to provide a bit of variety so that we don't see the same guys every week which results in a serious lack of fresh matchups. I don't see Gangrel headlining any time soon, but a few more midcard guys like him could at least freshen things up a bit.

And whose fault is that? They dumped a bunch of those guys last year because they couldn't figure out what to do w/ them. And on top of that, they don't use the ones they have (i.e. the Venis's, Stevie's, cruisers). Why reach back 7 years to bring back a guy who's going to be nothing but a jobber?
