Terrible. He may have had work to do in the ring and on the mic, but he had so much potential--more than the new guys like Cade, Jindrak, Morgan, etc AND the overpushed veterans like Bradshaw, Gunn, Holly, etc. It's definitely a shame. I remember him being the only bright spot of the Natural Born Thrillers and he was one of four or five guys whose finishing moves the Alliance showcased when they were freshly formed. Oh well, at least he can leave the WWE with a near-perfect win-loss record.

As for Terri Runnels, good riddance.

Terri Runnels and WWE have mutually agreed to terms to part ways. Terri has been a great member of our team for almost seven years, and we wish her the best and would enjoy working with her again if the situation presents itself.

Sean O’Haire has been notified that he will be released from his contract. Sean is an excellent athlete and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

With all the plans they've been making for the younger guys, especially with the Jindrak push planned, I was hoping they'd give O'Haire another chance. He had a great look, great entrance, great music, he just didn't really get a chance to show his skills too much in a decent program.

edit:
At least the Satire superstars no longer have to live in fear of Terri creeping up on them. AHH!

WHAT? CHUCK PALUMBO!

Man, I really thought O'Haire was terrible, and I know that puts me way in the minority, but that dude was bad. Bad bad bad. So I think this is a good idea. I don't know what "skills" he supposedly had, other than being able to do a pretty nice swanton. Big hairy deal.

*However* I think (iftnamattered) he could go to TNA and make a little something of himself. He'd look enormous there and be able to do a couple flashy flashy moves and all the teenage redneck girls would swoon for him.

As for Terri Runnels, how dare you people say good riddance. She has given nearly a decade of hard work to this company. She twice accidentally exposed her vagina on the flagship program, Monday Night Raw. She had a midget look up her dress. She sacrificed the baby of Val Venis to try to help D'Lo Brown get over. She was put through a table by Bubba Ray Dudley. She shackled Mark Henry to a table and beat him. She held the TIT. This was truly a woman that somehow, some way, loved this great business. I am appalled at the lack of respect shown here. I say thank you, Terri. Thank you.

Un freaking believable. Sean O'Haire may not have been the next Chris Benoit, but between his look and personality there was something there. It's hard to believe that a company that twice pushed Nathan Jones sat on this guy for three years without really giving him a shot.

Like cringe said, hopefully this means an opportunity to get somewhere with another promotion. I could see O'Haire being the 2004 version of Raven (ie. pulled off the WWE reject list and made into a star of the promotion) in TNA.

On the flip side, this is the company that pushed all those horrible guys and based on what they saw at house shows and dark matches thought O'Haire wasn't worthy of a roster spot.

So Sean O'Haire had a good look, good music, and a couple good moves? Big f'n deal. He has no charisma, sucked ass in the ring, and didn't improve one iota over the past 4 years.

I hope he does go to TNA and everyone can get off his junk when they see how bad he fucking sucks.

Someone needs to put together a "Desire" video recapping the legendary Kat/Terri feud.

On second thought, Lawler probably already has one.

NO CHARISMA? Surely you jest. You may knock him for average ring skills (still better than Jindrak though), but his "it factor" was off the charts. His facial expressions were very freaky without looking forced, and he made you believe in whatever he said.

I don't really care too much that he was let go, but you said yourself that he had a great look. And with the vanilla nature of half the WWE roster, I would have thought that he could benefit from being different.

Good luck, Sean.

And yet Nathan Jones gets a run-in role at a featured Wrestlemania bout despite not knowing a wristlock from a wristwatch?

Granted, Sean had a style that was 180 degrees from what WWE expects out of their wrestlers, but this was a guy around 6'4" 270 lbs. who could move like a cruiserweight - so instead of building around his strengths they keep him in the minor leagues and eventually let him go while guys like Zach Gowen are allowed to pin people like Matt Hardy? Oy vey.

Besides doing a Swanton in WCW, I never saw anything that impressed me with O'Haire in the ring. He looked lost, dazed and confused. His freaky look didn't translate into the ring at all. His backstage skits were atrocious and the guy from the pretaped production vignettes was no existant.

I just don't buy into this conspiracy against Sean O'Haire theory that seems to be spread around here. Maybe he had a bad attitude? He sucked in his first go-around in OVW even with Cornette going out of his way to protect him.

And I don't think he's better then Jindrak in the ring. Maybe some cooler moves but Jindrak looks way more fluid in the ring. And Garrison Cade is like 100x better then both of them.

Terrible news. Unless you've been following OVW over the past three years you haven't seen O'Haire in action, and he was doing as good a job there as anyone else (not to mention that his mic-skills were finally working to his advantage).

I'm surprised by this one. This and Kanyon's release really seem out of touch with reality. Big shame there.

Dammit! I'm glad to see Terri go, but if he does go to TNA, then they finally gave me a reason to shell over the money. Sure, he had some work to do in the ring, but he had a decent amount of charisma, and dammit...he was hot.

So he was kind of like the male version of Stacy for me. Hot, a decent amount of charisma, but needed to work on wrestling.

I have to agree with feulinjected, I've never thought Sean O'Haire was "great" or even very good. I guess he could make a serviceable mid carder just because some of the others are pretty poor, but i'm not suprised by this. I've never thought his ring skills were that good, even the swanton, i think his swanton sucks. I know it's supposed to be "impressive" because he's bigger than Jeff and can do it. But to me someone that big doing that move just looked akward, and he didn't do it as smoothly as Jeff either. I've always thought that Jindrak was the Matt Hardy of the Jindrak/O'Haire. Sure Jeff and O'Haire were popular and had a couple of flashy moves, but Matt and Jindrak were better wrestlers and once they were out of their partners shadows they would last longer. I never liked his mic skill much either. The little taped vignettes they did of his "i'm not telling you anything you don't already know" gimmick were pretty good, but then when he was at the shows and doing his backstage segments and in ring interviews he was horrible. I guess TNA could do something with him, but I'd rather they picked up Kanyon when he's available, or DDP if he comes out of retirement, both of them have a whole lot more to offer.

If I had had a half of an ass to half-ass, I'd go to the Observer and/or the Torch and dig up the live reports from O'Haire's early-going last year. The ones that said he was having trouble cutting live promos in his "Devil's Advocate" character because he couldn't stop himself from laughing. You know, the ones everybody blacked out once he became the poster-boy for The Great Unpushed. What a talent!

Trust me, they existed. Or still do, most likely.

(I like Sean O'Haire a lot, but not so much based on his ringwork as on the fact that I think he's "cool.")

I'm really hoping there's no copyright on the "Devil's Advocate" character, since I think Vince Russo could steal that idea and no one would notice. If O'Haire has learned in the last year to keep from laughing, it can still be huge! Imagine pitting this character against Raven.

And look at it this way: If he goes to TNA, maybe they'll give him back his Seanton Bomb!

I'm not sure how one can classify what Terri did the last ten years as “hard work”, but OK.

And while we're talking about bright spots of the Natural Born Thrillaz, how about Mike Sanders? I think he was at least above average.
