Well, today is Thursday, 5/24, so I'm not quite sure how long the Nuggets' court pic has been up. Would I be correct in assuming that this picture was during the Bryant-Stith-as-Denver's-team-captain era? Because if so, that explains all of those wonderful empty seats!
(Of course, I'm being just a bit facetious, but man were those post-Dikembe to pre-Carmelo years woeful!)
The Stanley Cup is the badass granddaddy of sports trophies. Nothing else even comes close.
Judging by the crop job, I'm guessing that's a shot of someone hoisting it after winning. The red could be from Carolina last year, but I'd wager it's New Jersey from 2003. Scott Stevens, perhaps?
