A FOUR-hour event? There's either going to be a lot of personnel movement, or a lot of sitting in front of your computer twiddling your thumbs waiting for something to happen ...
EDIT: So I guess the idea is to just keep hitting "Refresh" on the WWE main page until 4 o'clock or so ... Anyway, RAW has used their first pick (who's in charge of making the picks now?) to select both London and Kendrick (although the accompanying link doesn't work), which kind of flies in the face of this "teams can be split up" drama that WWE has been building over the past week.
Of course, that idea was pretty much bogus right off the bat, considering that Matt Hardy is both a Smackdown! superstar and one-half of the RAW Tag Team champions ...
EDIT (2): Okay, now the link is working ... and no, I'm not planning on sitting here all day editing this post whenever a new pick is made, so no need to worry about that.
With their first pick in the supplemental draft, ECW selects ... Viscera?
Okay, so this means (in kayfabe terms) that either:
(A) there is a limited pool of talent that can be chosen from (for example, the REALLY big names - Triple H, John Cena, etc. - are untouchable, and people who have already been drafted to another show are no longer eligible for "re-drafting")
or,
(B) this draft is also "drawn at random by computer"
WWE.Com really isn't being specific on how the whole process works ...
They're not even trying to make it look like there some kind reasoning behind it. The first paragraph of the London and Kendrick explanation ends with "What if tag teams get separated? Luckily for London & Kendrick, they won’t have to worry about that." with the implication being "Neither do you, everyone knows this isn't random and we can do whatever we like". Just laziness.

That's a real head scratcher there. It would seem that whatever value Sandman has (and it actually probably isn't much at this point, admittedly), it is as an ECW original. If they are not going to use him as that, I am not sure why they would have him at all.
The Bored are already here. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. And no... we won't kill dolphins. But koalas are fair game.
I wonder why even bother with doing this for the the public. It seems like it'd be better all around if they just announced that there would be a draft taking place, then announce the personnel changes after the fact. I get that they need to move talent around, but trying to execute it on television (or the internet, I guess) always comes off lame when you need to move mid- and undercard guys.
Hardcore Holly was perfect in ECW....why change it? And I wonder if this is one of those switch some people around before a round of massive cuts type of deals? We'll see soon enough I suppose.

I think you hit the nail on the head. There's no other rationale for these moves other than so they can make the excuse of, "Well, they just couldn't get over on their new show" before releasing the whole lot of them.
The over/under on Sandman's release is 2 months.
EDIT: At #7, Raw takes Daivari, meaning they separated Daivari and Khali AGAIN! Between Snitsky, Sandman, London/Kendrick, and Daivari, they're sure stacking up that WWE.com Heat lineup, aren't they?

The Wisdom of Homsar: DaAaAa, these Easter pants are gettin' way too tight!
#8. The Major Brothers to Smackdown. #9. William Regal to Raw.
William Regal to Raw I like. I've always enjoyed him. As for the Major's, now we just need a Raw tag team to move to balance it. I'm thinking the Highlanders go to ECW.
With Regal on Raw, I guess this effectively ends the Dave Taylor Comeback Tour. I can understand that since Taylor's been prone to injury in the last year.
#10: SmackDown gets Victoria
Oh, come ON! Seriously, what is there for Victoria to do on SmackDown?
#11: Raw gets Jillian Hall
Oh, good. They can do their childish Brooke Hogan-bashing on their flagship show now.
#12: SmackDown gets Eugene
Meh. Eugene's character has run its course, but I'm guessing this means the dagger now hangs over Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

And Johnny Nitro to ECW as the last supplemental pick. EDIT: Total list of movements RAW GAINED (11): Bobby Lashley, Brian Kendrick, Daivari, Jillian, King Booker, Mr. Kennedy, Paul London, Queen Sharmell, Sandman, Snitsky, William Regal RAW LOST (9): Chris Masters, Eugene, Johnny Nitro, Kenny Dykstra, Ric Flair, The Great Khali, Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Viscera
SMACKDOWN GAINED (10): Brett Major, Brian Major, Chris Masters, Eugene, Hardcore Holly, Kenny Dykstra, Ric Flair, The Great Khali, Torrie Wilson, Victoria SMACKDOWN LOST (11): Boogeyman, Brian Kendrick, Chris Benoit, Daivari, Jillian, King Booker, Mr. Kennedy, Paul London, Queen Sharmell, The Miz, William Regal
ECW GAINED (5): Boogeyman, Chris Benoit, Johnny Nitro, The Miz, Viscera ECW LOST (6): Bobby Lashley, Brett Major, Brian Major, Hardcore Holly, Sandman, Snitsky
1) London/Kendrick from SD to Raw - Could just slide them into title contention.
2) Dykstra from Raw to SD - He started off with the battles with Flair, but ended up lost in the shuffle. I could see him heading up to upper midcard/possible US Title contention.
3) Viscera from Raw to ECW - Wouldn't hurt, since he was low card on Raw.
4) Sandman from ECW to Raw - Probably will get his walking papers in a month, this does not work.
5) Holly from ECW to SD - Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
6) Miz from SD to ECW - Don't know, could be him vs Boogeyman again.
7) Daivari from SD to Raw - Could end up as glorified jobber with the occasional Heat win.
8) Majors from ECW to SD - See London and Kendrick.
9) Regal from SD to Raw - At least a IC title contender.
10) Victoria from Raw to SD - Finally, back where she should be, the #1 heel diva.
11) Jillian from SD to Raw - Definite Women's Championship contender, could end up with the belt at some point.
12) Eugene from Raw to SD - Just another annoyance for JBL (a la Miz/Boogeyman/early MVP)
13) Nitro from Raw to ECW - Another lost in the shuffle on Raw, but likely to get a step up.
After the HHH interview, I wondered if they were really going to seriously book long-term and make it a rematch for WM28. After the backstage Austin/HHH bit, it seemed all but guaranteed that they were trying to plant the seed.
