Andrade Almas & Zelina Vega defeat Rusev & Lana after Vega pins Lana.
Cedrick Alexander pinned Drew Gulak to retain the cruiserweight championship.
The B-Team defeated The Revival to retain the Raw tag team championships. Scott Dawson and Curtis Axel pinned for well over 3 while the ref was distracted by Bo Dallas and Dash Wilder fighting. Bo tripped over the legal men, reversing the roll-up and accidentally securing the win for his team.
Seth Rollins defeated Dolph Ziggler to become the new intercontinental champion. Ziggler was distracted by a brawl between Drew McIntyre and Dean Ambrose. No heel turn by Ambrose but he sure did enough stalking being Rollins after the match to convince people he was about to jump him.
The New Day defeated the Bludgeon Brothers via disqualification when Rowan clocked Big E with the mallet to prevent the title from changing hands.
Braun Strowman squashed Kevin Owens to retain the Money in the Bank briefcase. Seriously, I would fare better in a real fight against Strowman and I have no delusions about my ability to fight.
Charlotte Flair pinned Becky Lynch to win her sixth main roster title. Afterward, Lynch turned on Charlotte and got the pop of the night. Afterward, the crowd was chanting "You Deserved It" and I'm not sure if they meant Becky deserved to win the title or Charlotte deserved to get her ass kicked. Either way, Charlotte is officially the Roman Reigns of the women's division.
Samoa Joe defeated AJ Styles by disqualification after Joe grabbed a mic and started talking to AJ's wife who was in the crowd, causing AJ to snap and destroy Joe with a chair.
The Miz defeated Daniel Bryan via pinfall after Miz presumably hit Bryan with a foreign object hidden in Maryse's jacket.
Finn Balor (as The Demon) squashed Constable Corbin in one minute and thirty-five seconds. Incidentally, those 95 seconds was the only bit of the 4 hours that weren't a complete waste of time.
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Jeff Hardy after Hardy attempted to commit suicide by doing a Swanton from the ring post to the apron. Afterward, Randy Orton came out, walked down to the ring but then turned around and went back, presumably out of fear that some sort of penis/handshake chant was about to kick off.
Ronda Rousey squashed Alexa Bliss, albeit in slightly more time than the Owens & Corbin squashed combined. Natalya came out before the match wearing the jacket her father wore when the Hart Foundation won the tag titles at SummerSlam in 1990. Natalya and the Bella twins celebrated with Rousey after her victory. If the rumored main event for Evolution transpires, I officially give up on WWE.
Romain Reigns finally pinned Brock Lesnar to become the Universal Champion. Our long national nightmare is over. Before the match, Braun came out and the crowd was ecstatic. Then Braun announced that he was cashing in immediately on whoever won the match. That didn't happen because Brock proceeded to destroy Braun at ringside, allowing Roman to take advantage of the distraction and spear Brock for the win. The highlight of the match was definitely the crowd chanting YOU BOTH SUCK.
This was a pretty boring commercial for next month's Hell in a Cell. It seemed like the better the match was, the shittier the ending was. It was like they watched Takeover and just gave up and decided to save it all for next month when they don't have to compete with a superior product.
I have never, not ever heard a pop for a female superstar as loud as the one Becky got for her "turn." I could probably count on one hand the number of guys who've been able to get pops that loud. If they were smart (ha.), then they'd scrap Becky's heel turn and turn Charlotte instead.
Weird show. A lot of the stuff wasn't bad but seriously, they need to stop booking 'special finishes'
The weirdness started when IC Champion Dolph Ziggler's music got replaced with his sidekick's music. Maybe it's been like that for a while on Raw but I haven't watched in a bit and it felt weird. Like..ya know...Dolph is an afterthought. Good match between Ziggler and Rollins though.
New Day / B.Brothers was okay I guess, it didn't catch my attention and was talking with friends.
The Strowman squash doesn't make much sense. Sure, we get it. Monster amongst men. But either make it a decent match or no match at all.
The pop for Becky's heel turn was amazing. I'm sure they'll kill it by playing up jealousy or something like that. Nothing real like "wait..I worked for a year and you stick your nose in my shit and walk away" They could still easily make Charlotte the heel here ("hehe..you can't get it done, step aside for the Queen") but you know they won't.
Joe vs Aj was solid and just when my friend said "at least they don't play up his wife sitting there" Joe grabbed the mic. Stupid stuff but still, that line by Joe was fucking harsh. I understand AJ going crazy. The scene with his kid saying 'youhave blood' and basically not wanting a hug was some good stuff. Awwwwww.
Miz and Bryan had a good solid match. Miz played a great anti-Bryan. And if you wish to continue this feud, then this was the only way to do it. I mean..the moment they showed Maryse again and again you knew she'd do something right? I'm shocked she didn't have a crowbar in the baby carriage.
Good to see Demon Finn again. This was the only squash the show needed. Nice fear in the face of Corbin.
Nakamura and Hardy had a decent match. Orton needs to stay away.
I hated the Rousey match. I want her to do good but she went from woman that wants to learn & work her way to the top to division killer in a few weeks. I get it, she's ratings but having her on top so soon kills the division right? Raw has nobody who can challenge her and look legit.
Braun showing up seemed like a great thing. Make it a three way. But he might not want to be a coward but waiting until after the match still means he is fighting a worn down guy. For a moment I was afraid Reigns would squash Lesnar, be fresh and ready for Strowman and defeat him. But at least the outside shenanigans allows Strowman to fight and hopefully win another day.
So yeah, that match sucked. But at least it wasn't what I feared. Reigns kicking out of a dozen F5's like he did in S.A. but this time he'd win.
And hopefully Lesnar is gone now, they can rebuild the title a bit and just have guys feud over it. Even if it is Roman against the world.
I feel it wasn't a bad show at all but it (like many WWE shows) suffers from the booking they do.

According to "reports", Vince McMahon made the call to end the match early, while people were pissed at Brock for attacking Strowman, before they got back to booing Reigns as well. It was originally slated to go 20+ minutes.
I think this is more of a gray area, like the Brock/Eddie match, where the other guy did beat Brock, but they added so many mitigating circumstances where it doesn't matter that Brock got beat.
While the Braun distraction obviously played a role in the outcome, Brock had a chair and was very aware of Reigns, but made a miscalculation by swinging when Reigns hit him with the Spear for the win.
I just think that writing it off as a "distraction finish" implies that Brock had no agency when he clearly had it. He just miscalculated.
Plus, that Brock felt he had to use a chair to beat Reigns and still lost is a mark against Brock. Just like when Brock attempted to use the WWE Title belt against Eddie (which was what actually prompted Goldberg to interfere).
So, Reigns still beats Brock. It just doesn't matter because BRRAAAAUUUUNN!!!!
What a cheap-ass trick, by the way. I give Vince props for being intelligent enough to know his audience and effectively use a distraction to keep them involved (plus, this does help Braun in the babyface department by him wanting to win honorably), but holy shit you can't do this forever.
Rest of the card was pretty much a waste.
EDIT: Boy, isn't this all how we hoped it would end at WrestleMania 31 after Brock ended the Streak and killed John Cena?
We all wanted it to end with Taker kinda stealing his win back at SummerSlam and then Brock losing to Goldberg (much more definitively) and then getting his win back and then wasting our time for two more years. Right?

This is almost certainly the end of their feud (at least I fucking hope it is) & the fact Vince *still* couldn't bring himself to just give Reigns a straight up no bs victory over Brock with no question marks or caveats, speaks volumes to how differently he views Roman to someone like, say, Cena.
Best Entrance: Eh, nobody really has a good one. I'll go with New Day just kind of by default.
Best PPV costume level-up: Bludgeon Brothers.
Best PPV spot level-up: Rollins's weird inverted Superplex/Falcon Arrow thing I guess.
Best spot overall: Nothing came close to Adam Cole's superkick on an mid-flip Ricochet, I'm gonna just stick with that.
Botch of the Night: Nobody catching Charlotte's twisting moonsault to the floor. She should have just stuck the landing & bowed instead of trying to sell it.
Number of (main card) matches that were better than any Takeover Match: Zero. EC3 v Velveteen Dream was the worst match of Takeover and I defy anyone to name a better match than that on the Summerslam card. Alexander v Gulak doesn't count.
I hate, hate, hate imp Balor and was hoping they had killed the whole gimmick. The whole concept is dumb enough, but wearing streamers and crawling to the ring like Gollum makes it just extra-extra idiotic. I'm fully aware most fans and apparently the entirely of the Barclay's Center disagrees with me, but history will vindicate me.
EDIT: To be clear I don't hate body paint Balor as a PPV costume level-up, just the way it's done with the Imp.
Carmela's psychology of trying to pit Becky & Charlotte against each other was awesome, and I'm super annoyed it didn't result in her retaining the title.
Corey Graves' outfit was amazing.
New language announcers! And where were Jean Brassard & Ray Rougeau?

I’m kind of with you on this one. I love me some Finn Balor, and it looks very cool when he busts out the Demon gimmick, but unless I’ve missed something, as soon as the bell rings, it’s just another Finn Balor match.
The whole idea is he’s unleashing his animalistic side, but then he goes and uses the exact same moveset that he uses in every other match he has. It’d be nice if he at least used a different finisher.

Rene Dupree, Kenzo Suzuki, Mark Jindrak, and Mordecai didn't deserve pushes to begin with. Rene would've been better off sticking with La Resistance to cut two stupid acts into one, which at least gets to do the three-man team and have a dog.
