Sometimes (actually all the time) I go to post in a thread and realise I haven't logged in first. This forces me to go back to the main page then back to the thread. My suggestion is for the somewhat rude 'You are NOT logged in' message to be replaced with an opportunity to log in there.
That makes me think of a fat guy standing on top of a mountain, pointing down at me and angrily shouting "YOU ARE *NOT* LOGGED IN!"
Also, how do you become a contributor?
(edited by 12characters on 4.8.03 2010) RantWars runner-up. At least I beat Dave Shilling.
Read the FAQ. That should be a requirement of everyone upon registering.
I had a crazy idea of enforcing everyone to read the FAQ when they sign up, should be part of the registration process. You read it, click ok and then all of a sudden you're hit with 5 Q's from the FAQ to complete your registration. Depending on how many you get right or wrong, registration can be refused.......or you're opening title determined by how many you got wrong, espcecially if you got them all wrong.

I'm shocked that you actually read peoples post here and DOUBLE shock with that criteria there's more then a handful of contributors LoL Smiles = I kid

I'll crush all opposition to me And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay
Hell, I didn't even earn my contributer tag, it was handed to me .
As for the FAQ thing, it'd definately cut down on the hit and run posting and the stupid posters, but would be a major hassle to people who are legitimately trying to get on and would rather not go through a bunch of steps like that just to get in to post.
And just to note: The FAQ doesn't say anything about contributer tags, only moderators and admins.
