smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; July 5, 2005) It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down. The longer Triple H stays away is also a plus...

Mack Brown will still find a way to screw up that game, assuming he finds a way not to screw up next weekend at Ohio State. With Notre Dame at least showing a semblance of life, not a bad football Saturday next week, with Notre Dame at Michigan and Texas at Ohio State being the national games of a triple header. Also, any truth to the reports out of Oklahoma that hours after the Sooners lost a man who looked like he was from the cast of Deliverance was still seated in the stands, swigging bottles of barbecue sauce, and alternately chanting Hoss and Stone Cold?

Actually, I'd argue that it's more than just a semblance of life as far as Notre Dame is concerned. However undeserved it was, Pittsburgh was a BCS team last year, and most said it would take a year or two for Weis to collect the talent necessary for Notre Dame to make a serious run. But never doubt the power of the Church of Belichick.
In fact, I'm picking the Irish to win that game. Michigan's definitely a top-15 team, but NO WAY are they a true #4. They're definitely ripe for picking.

The NFL meets Oregon Trail is awesome, but this is excellent in it's own right: See Denver's winning touchdown from week 1 as done in Super Tecmo Bowl. This is complete with Gus Johnson's fantastically outstanding play call.
