Although details are not known at the time, WWE has released Brent Albright. Albright wrestled in OVW and did make a short run on Smackdown as Gunner Scott.

Albright has been feuding (and Jobbing) with Charles Evans here in OVW lately. He is an awesome wrestler, just a tad bit too vanilla, hope he goes to TNA.

True, but thats the same gimmick they started Cena & Orton with, isnt it? Actually, didnt they do that with Shelton & Hass too (before they were a team)?
I actually had high hopes for Gunner, I guess this is what I get.
I thought the Benoit's "student" angle would have worked ... the age-old tale of student betraying teacher, etc ... sure it's been done a bajillion times, but beats 50% of the crap we see now.

So it looks like he has already found a nice place to show his skills.

Interesting, indeed. But I'm not sure they're ready to turn Austin heel again, not so soon anyway. I mean, it went alright the first time, but I think his current return to facedom is going MUCH better.
