1) Knicks and Warriors are working trying to set up a trade that would send Nick Van Exel to New York for Charlie Ward and Kurt Thomas.
2) Also, it seems that the days of Al Harrington and everyone's favorite psycho, Ron Artest, in Indiana are very much numbered apparently. Especially since Lary Bird still loves Austin Croshere.
I'd fall in love with the Knicks again if they got Van Exel... maybe even trade some filler (or even *gasp* Allan Houston) for Artest and Bender. Dump his huge salary, give Bird a guy who can shoot and an heir apparent to the aging Reggie Miller. But these are just pipe dreams.

The NY papers have been making up Knick trades all summer. Considering that's the home base of Peter Vescey, it doesn't surprise me. Yeah I know Spree did get traded but I believe where he eventually ended up (T-Wolves) wasn't one of the rumored teams beforehand.
As for Artest, he is a BYC player so he will be virtually impossible to trade unless a team that is way under the salary cap is involved.
